beleive it or not, the k - kut thing i have never heard of before. after almost a year of using blender i am still learning new features
Thread: Blender help with the following tutorials | Forum: Blender
well, as a soft body, no. however, once the modifier is applied. possibly. i have not experimented to much with them as i have no bodies yet to fit

i might not be the correct person to be responding to this, but blender 3d has soft body abilities. what i would reccomend is (for bodily clothing) to make a couple of reference circiles (mesh) (where elastic would be) and extrude them about the length and shape you want, then to apply the soft body deformation physics simulation on them. as for the shoes, the only moddels i have ever used dont actualy have feet, but legs extending into the shoes. i would assume this is the easeist way.

generaly, i would be willing to help, but in this case i seem unable to because it will not let me view the tutorials as i do not posses a password or username. however, if it is a poser tutorial, you will probably have little luck translating it to blender. the way poser works as a 3d graphics program is incredibly different from blender's 3d graphics. however, if you know anything about maya, you might have more luck

Thread: ICCQ: IPO Curve creation question | Forum: Blender
you must make sure the ipo curve is in object mode. then make sure the ipo curve for the force is enabled for viewing. to do this extend the window of the ipo curve to take up most of the window. all the way at the right of the ipo window are some names such as Xloc Yloc and so on. all the way at the bottom there is a object something like Fcurve or something like that (i am not infront of blender so i cant tell you.
Thread: ICCQ: IPO Curve creation question | Forum: Blender
i actualy just figured that out while i was typing that. before i posted that post i had no idea either how to create an ipo curve for editing forces. btw, it also works in materials. but it doesnt work when editing a curve object or non mesh object
Thread: ICCQ: IPO Curve creation question | Forum: Blender
oh, and actualy, like i just figured this out by accident 20 seconds ago and i am sooo pleased now, to make an ipo curve for the feilds streignth or any other special setting for that matter, place the mouse over the setting you would like to change and press i. this will bring up an ipo menu for that specific setting which can not be accessed anywhere else.
oh, and right drag to move verticies on the ipo curve. left click, changes what frame you are editing in
Thread: ICCQ: IPO Curve creation question | Forum: Blender
ok, button is the letter "I" to make a keyframe, this adds a verticy to the ipo curve at the current frame. once you click the letter I it will ask you which to make a keyframe for, pick the one that applies. make sure you make the keyframe for the first frame of the animation first and make sure you move to the frame you want to make a keyframe in before editing the next possition. there should realy be a better tutorial for this. unfortunatly i am not the person to make it because my intrests do not lie in this area anymore and i am almost completely clueless when it comes to ipo curves.
Thread: ICCQ: IPO Curve creation question | Forum: Blender
i am not completely sure, but what i think you do is go to the frame you want to edit "arrow keys" and then there is a button you press on your keyboard similar to how it is done in flash except not quite as easy

i have had the same problem, i am pretty sure its not problesm with curves in general, just ipo curves for editing wind strength
Thread: HDR as a world map | Forum: Blender
personaly, i never realy liked that tutorial anyway. it doesnt give an example of what HDRI is realy capable of, and doesnt realy explain the settings for HDR maps in blender.
one thing that i have found to help when getting an hdr image is to enable zenup zendown, sometimes hori (horizon) and always blend under the map to tab in the textures box in the world buttons tab.
another usefull thing is to change the colors of the backround. under world buttons--> world, there are two boxes of color, blender's default for these is one dark blue and one black. what i have had much success with is changing the blue box to black and the black box to white.
one other thing that the tutorial doesnt realy explain is which type of texture coordinate to use. for most hdr maps you should use the angle map (angmap). hdr files which use this can be identified by a picture with a fisheye lense sphere in the middle.
