Perhaps one needs to be under 70! I agree with the Fresnel descriptions but the relationship of the theory with Shader Ops and the Toxe free shaders eludes me. Sardtoks description of Baking--and another look at Juliens Baker plugin--still makes me wonder how "baking" is the description. Any one up to tackling the Preferences question-- or Carrara Dictionary say? Thanks all. Brian

Well the obvious one would be to change the materials IN POSER! If you have kept the Poser/Carrara connection open it's all a pretty simple flow back and forwarsd between the 2 Apps. But i'me only a learner too so may haved missed something in what you are wanting.

Keep on trying for us all please! It helps to know that I'me not the only goose on this one. Like you I feel that it is potentially first class but needs a descriptive analysis of how it works and interrelates--without constant crashes!!!!. The Cajomi Landscape Tute this week is of the right type of descriptive standard.

Don't take this as the answer for I am curious about the replys. That dimension is the size in pixels for? HD and the pixels are?square. My theory is that any larger render will be blurred down to match that anyway! But animation render times at that size for us mortals---whew!

Patrick 210 I have done about 50 to 75 C4 landscapes but in trying to strictly follow the - I agree excellently produced-- tute, Ihave not found a way to get Carrara to accept the instruction to change the Blender to "simple". Are you saying you did?

(Shonner. I presume this response is related to another thread?) Found the trash can with the help of my wife "theres a funny little blob up there, might that be it?" Also, if I double click the Blender I get a differently detailed Insert drop down than from a single click--but still can not apply "Simple"

And wheres the trash can icon ref p300 of the C4 book? Have just spent 8 hours reading and trying to continue with this tutorial and finding things out most of which is a path of illogicality--and i'me just not illogical enough to follow the programme designers approaches. HELP!

Reading is easier than doing! Page 5/6--how to delete the 3 Terrain Layers? Page 9 ?which shader Channel and having Shader/Mixer can not find in the then currenty available dropdowns access to the Simple for the blender.
