Tnx!
The sharp lines in all pictures are from her clothing, my original was a clothed person. So i will have to make (find) a model without clothes ;-)
As for the background, the final render will have that i think. But as this started out as a material study, i did want to see the behavior of the pure material first. ( As well as the render times with all the eyecandy on)
As you suggested, I'm trying baking now, i have zero experience with baking and i'm not from a mesh background (nurbs)Â so i will have to see what if will do.Tnx!

Quote - Yep - truth is often stranger than fiction. Not that it wouldn't make for some serious cloud building practice!
Thanks Agiel :o)
I as already playing with it also ...
Thread: Vue 6 rnder question? | Forum: Vue
It should be no problem at all.
Not sure how it works on an Apple but in windows you can also change the priority level of an application.Â
( Ofcourse when you do that it will effect render times )

Thats a good one!
Since i use VUE i look " different" at the sky's  The funny thing is that i oftenly see real sky' s /atmosphere's and then i think.. If i would create that in VUE it would look like a fantasy scene.Â
Nature can produce so many incredeble scene's that if we would copy it, most people would say it could not be real. :-)
This picture is a great example of that.
( I hope i make sence )

Tnx for youre reply, i did a workaround. After some research i concluded that panel lights and area light are not able to animate the colors.
I could be wong...
Anyway the gel suggestion i did not try, if my workaround will not gie the results i will look into that!
Tnx!
Thread: Is there a way, an application something, that will enable me to see graphically | Forum: Vue
Some tips (not sure if it is usefull for you):
If it has difference in materials you can collapse identical materials on import, then ungroup the object. after that you can select "material groups" in the material tab. Then switch to objects tab and regroup the same materials.
If you haave a hard time seeing what each object is it is also handy sometimes to select: "render only selected objects" and with a fast preview render determine the object and rename/group them
I hope this make some sense ;-)

I think that you should make a keyframe for youre cube at 179 (or a little sooner) .
Now VUE thinks at frame1 is the startpoint and at frame 180 it is over there and smooths the path in between. So set manually youre "take-off" point before 180 with a keyframe for youre cube.
Edit: Hmm maybe you did try this.. it is not clear. Did you select the cube while changing the values?

A fast work-around would be to manually erase them with the ecosystem painter brusch after you populated them.
Thread: selling images | Forum: Vue
Hi, unfortunatly i do not know any of them.
But I am just curious, are you create something and then you try to sell it? Or do you get orders what to produce?

First wip:
It's a single terrain with a mixed material.

I like the picture of the Iceberg.. And that brings a little personal challange
So i'm trying to create a good icebergmaterial as well.. Just for the fun.
I'm not ready yet.. But i've come up with two different approaches.
I'm creating a mixed material and i will let the horizontal surfaces be snow/white and the vertical some white/blue stretched "chipped" rock, with displacement.
Boolean difference. Subtract the "broken of" part of the iceberg with a object or terrain wich haves the broken off look.Â
I'm playing a bit around with both of the options.. Results are nice but not yet oké.
When i do get something satisfying, i will post it here. ( But hé.. remember I have no deadlines ;-)
( Does anyone know what settings VUE uses for the little preview screen? I have had several occasions that a scene looks oké in my preview, but when i render i get different lighting)
