I just did a test with default position arms locked, and it worked...so you should be able to lock the arms in position and then use the walk designer...

ok, I did manage to put the figures together, but its two seperate figures that now share one texture map...my new problem is this...when I try to save poses, it only saves the pose for the main figure...is there a way to make it save poses for the combined figures?...

I've heard when you export an obj from poser it gets shifted some how...and doesnt work properlly...I did try something like that with the horse and dolphin, and it looked ok till I tried to pose it, then it started doing all kinds of freaky stuff...so I figured it was the shifting thing...is there any way to keep it from shifting when you export?

I agree...I had to tear myself away in order to do something in poser to ease my guilt...ironically my first attempt was actually a Diablo II sorceress hehe the tiny psd thumbnail looks just like her ;) The trick to getting out of the game and back into poser is this...get a playing partner who cant play as often as you do, and gets really ticked when you out level them =P

other tutorials are as follows hair http://www.silverleifstudios.com/dmentia/arttutorialhair.htm quick faces http://www.silverleifstudios.com/dmentia/arttutorialfaces.htm very brief poser to photoshop tutorial(I wrote this before I learned I could do textures and what not back on poser 3...) http://www.silverleifstudios.com/dmentia/arttutorialposer.htm 3 web type graphic tutorials http://www.silverleifstudios.com/dmentia/webdesign.htm but xtinctions hair tutorial is much better, and you dont really need to know how to draw a face from scratch with poser, the poser to photoshop tutorial is totally lame, and the web graphic tutorials just dont seem to fit here :)

Ok, tutorial has the changes suggested so far 4 gifs one of each brush added, and a second prev/next window showing eyeballs made using this tutorial... as for the applet, my husband made it for me, and he's still working on it, so its not availble for public use at this time...Glad you like it though, I told him people would envy me for my applet rather than my art hehe :)

Oh yes please do try it :) and let me know if you have any trouble with it so I can make the tutorial easier to follow...I think you'll need to change the extention on the brushes in order to use them in psp

Viomar's right about the uvmapper tile function, I use it when I'm trying to figure out the best way to map stuff, just to seperate it all and better see how the different parts fit in different places...I would like to know how to tile in poser though...pretty please :)
Thread: Obj uvmapping problems... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've done them before, and I have resaved the objs...thats why I'm so confused...these are the first obj's I've ever had trouble with...the ones that come stock on the Poser 4 Content CD...obj files...bench, candle, coffee mug etc...they are such simple objs, it should be easy...I'm using the latest version I think, and I have made really detailed maps of much tuffer objs, its just for some reason when I save these obj files over the old ones, it doesnt take...when I reopen them after saving, they are back to thier origional jumble of messed up lines...its so wierd...has any one else tried to map those particular objs?

I used to have that problem...I wrote to one of the guys at CL and was told to delete the rsr of the offending file in geometries folder I think...that fixed it for me...he also said he was working on a way to get rid of those rsr's all together...
