Try using the solidify plugin, available on the free plugin page at Caligari's website. Also, if your'e looking for a file format conversion utility, there's no better one than 3D Explorer available at: http://www.xdsoft.com/explorer/ -Nando

I may be wrong, but I think that in the textures properties, you could set it relative to the object.
Thread: Check out this animation! (WIP) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, congratulations. It looks very useful. I've been debating with myself if I should make a Christmas present to me. Seems that I may. Anyway, the animation looks good.-Nando.

Thread: Questions about exporting figures for use in Bryce | Forum: Poser Technical
If you import the whole figure int Bryce ( use OBJ format), you can select the individual parts by clicking on the object while holding domn the control key. I think it's the command key on the Mac. This will bring up a list of the individual items under your cursor. You can select from these. Sometimes you may have to click on slightly different spots to get to the item that you want. Once selected, you can't texture the item as you wish.-FK.

Thread: Amapi modeler | Forum: Bryce
I would recommend Amapi. I don't agree that it's an entry level modeling application. I've tried my share of modelers, and Amapi beats them all. You can model just about anything in it, and, if you need precision, it's capable of CAD like exactness. The render options are basic, with that I'll agree, but other than that, it's a great modeler. Also, technical support is excellent and friendly. It beats trueSpace by miles -I've used trueSpace since it was Caligari for the Amiga.-Nando

There's a direct connection in Amapi to Max. It's a plugin. If you don't have the manual, I think that you can download it. The interface in Amapi is a bit quirky, but once you get used to it, it's a snap.-Nando

Thanks for the comments. The curtains were a breeze to model. Just a question of drawing a few lines, and telling Amapi to connect the dots. With version 5, i was even able to edit the underlying splines to model both curtains from the same set of curves. I've been using Amapi for only a few weeks, now, but I'm tackling stuff that I wouldn't have before. If you can get the coverdisk, version 4, do it (PC Format, issue 114). The'll even sell you the manual for $29, and give you a break on version 5.
