I tried it on the Victoria 2 figure, and it worked ok. I had to assign some of the transparencies, but it renamed the pieces and grouped them all by textures, so it was well worth it. The UVMapper worked as well, but there may be some geometries in models I haven't tried yet that it doesn't like...

It'll do the transparencies, it's just a little tricky to get them, especially with the millenium figures. The eyes, eyelashes and eyebrows are all difficult areas, but it can be done. I'll see if I can put some notes together and put a link here to it.

Yeah, mine was all gray too, and it took me about two hours to go through and manually assign all the maps with bumps and transparencies. Selecting things is tricky, too. It's a pain, but it works if you want to go through the effort...

I just ran into the same problem with Bryce 4. Victoria would import as a 3DS file, but not an OBJ, and I have another DAZ figure, Kalypso, with a bunch of props, and she won't come in at all. I'll try the UV Mapper.
Thread: Before you run out and get Windows XP......READ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I upgraded my system to XP over the weekend, and Poser runs better for me now than it did under ME. I've got an Athalon processor (1.1g), and some of my DAZ models would lock up Poser when I tried to reload a file under Windows ME, but they all now work fine. Overall, my machine works much faster with less lock-ups, so I'm happy with the change. I know that XP has an activation code required, or it will shut off after 30 days, but I don't think Poser or Pro Pack has that feature.

They put up five freebies last week (and the fountain is still there as well), so they may not have anything left to give away!

Very nice! I use the Zygote dragon quite a bit, and I love the scale look you achieved with it. Good job!
Thread: Zygote's calendar contest ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi All, I got the notice this morning with the results of the contest. I thought this part was especially generous of them - "As such, we feel it appropriate to reward everyone with a $30.00 gift certificate for the time and effort that was put into making the submitted images and for the support that was shown to our contest. One certificate will be issued to each entrant (regardless of the number of submissions). Please be patient as we get the gift certificates sent out. This gift certificate will not apply to entrants who were picked for the calendar and will, therefore, receive other prizes (ie, the 12 prize winners and honorable mentions/alternate images winners)." Now that's customer service. A big thank-you to Zygote! If you haven't seen the list, here's the winners - "Episode 14 Scene 19 " James Lee "Wings" Will Kramer "Frost" David B Mattingly "Sleeping Sculpture" Martin Murphy "Bomb Squad" KEN CLAYTON "FUCHSIA" by MC Rayes "SAFARI" William (Bill) Heng "J.Darnell" James Darknell "Shadowrun" Rainer Bendig "Nocturnal Angels" William (Bill) Heng "DeanChaney2" Dean Chaney "Lamplighter" James Schoenberg Alternate Winners... Thread: My first Carrara Render | Forum: Carrara
I've had a great time using Bryce, but I'm really impressed by what I can do with Carrara. I'm still poking around in the features, and haven't built a real scene yet, but I'm thinking I won't be using Bryce too much anymore. The textures seem to have more variables, the render engine looks to be a lot faster, and of course, I can create and edit my own shapes. -Jeff
