Hi!
Why not just use Windows 7 and forget about Vista and XP?
I can take Poser 5 (have a installation on an external disc) and run it just fine under Windows 7, cant see why it would be any different with Poser 7.
Regarding your second question, poser will run from a partition with XP as it would run from a partition without XP (of course it has to be an older version of Poser who keeps the importent files in the poser folder, newer versions puts stuff in the user folder of the system its installed in).
What I always do is that i keep my system on the C: partition and install Poser on another partition (away from the program files folder), I never have any problem with administrator rights that way.

"Meanwhile, I finally figured out a good UV mapping for taking flat-photo textures and wrapping around the ends, sides, and corners of the table so it looks good."
It sure does, Ive never used wooden tables (in 3d pictures) because all their borders looks so weird, your example is the first one ive seen that looks belivable.
Are you going to put that table of yours (with the mapping and shaders shown) up for sale?

Thanks for the heads up Les, I had an old version of "Scene fixer" that didnt include this feature.
I was a heavy user of SpawnCharacterP6 and im glade that there now is an alternative for Poser Pro 2012 (and P9). Snarlygribbly really does wondeful things for the Poser community.
Im also grateful that one of my other favourite utilities "MirrorMags32" created by Lesbentley still works (its on my top 5 of useful tools for Poser).

I feel your pain Lesbentley, this is one of my favourite scripts too.
Havent found an alternative for it to use in Poser Pro 2012 so I still have Poser Pro 2010 installed and create my characters inj/rem files there (unfortunately that excludes the weight mapped ones).

Thanks a lot for the Toony Bunny, looks very nice.
I see in your forum that you have created a female model called "The Babe", is that to be released in a shop somewhere and will it be Poser compatible?

@Vintorix
"I was too lazy reinstalling to an english version of Windows"
Do you use a swedish version of Windows?
Im a fellow Swede and i use Swedish Windows 7 Home Premium SR1 (64-bit) with Poser Pro 2012 SR1 (64-Bit), got curious and imported a few random *.obj´s and they all worked fine.
Maybe we can compare system/installation paths?

My background with gamma do look weird too now that you mention it :-)
I use Ambient oclusion on my render cube and my point light looks like this.
So the Gradient bump value is only on/off (0/1), thats good to now.

Hi MeatSim and thank for your input!
The shader is not my work im afraid, its created by a vendor here at the marketplace.
I have snarlygribbly's scene fixer so i follwed your advice and tested various configurations but no luck.
Disabled Indirect light, but it still looks weird.
I do suspect the "gradient bump" and "gradient mode" nodes but dont understand enough of it to fix it.
