I would love to share the 'how to' for this image, Its the great thing about Rendo the inspiration of the images and getting some inside info on the techniques used. So here goes I hope it all makes sense. First I removed the background from the original studio shot removed her hair and painted in the top of here skull. I filed the background with a neutral grey and then applied the extrude filter, there are loads of options so you can play all you like till it looks OK. Then I selected the neutral grey areas and removed them along with the part blocks some blocks I kept and painted over the grey, this will be obvious when you try. Then I applied plastic wrap just love this filter, again played with the settings till it was how I liked it. Then added the sky and merged the layers together. And finally added a top layer painted some vignetting and colour, thats it. I what to work some more on the plain faces of the blocks, adding some texture and colouring just to lift it a bit. Did you guess right? Would love to know about your glass technique Alpha. :0)

Glad you got this out again Alpha. Just love the colouring and the glass effect wasnt sure about the empty space in the bottom left at first but I think it helps. Have you thought of using this technique with an old picture in a frame as the subject? :0)

Hi Jc, I only have the one studio light, but I found using my projector screen as a large reflector works really well. And its not to bad to lug around about the same size as my paper roll. :0)

Shit I knew this was going to be hard to explain. Slynky and Scott, All I am trying to do is get the colour of the slice to change when the mouse selects it. In my rollovers layer menu I have the slice with its over state and the animation frames 1 and 2, which I guess I should be able to edit, but for the life of me I cant every change I make effects the whole page. The selected slice shows in the slice menu but the whole page shows in the animation menu, this seem strange I was expecting the two frames for the slice to show. I have found an example in a tut for an earlier version and the menus are all different but ist does show the slice in the animation menu with the two different coloured slices. Thanks for any help, I am sure to go mad trying to sort it.
