Ahhh, if it's a moon, then that's easy to fix :)
Moons don't illuminate that much light, so all you need to do is darken up the background to make it more "nightime-like". Right now it's so bright that it looks like a sun, not a moon.
Don't give up :) You don't realize it, but you are learning things working on that image. It's a great image. I love the background and I love the look of the figures in it. But the 2 together aren't in harmony...yet. Keep at it. Take a break from it if you have to and come back to it. A great masterpiece isn't made in a day :)
Lighting, shadows and perspective are hard things to accomplish. But you'll get it. I'm confident in that.

I think it's a full body texture. A DarkWing_Zero item. I love her work!

Hmmm, I don't peronally like the sunburst. I liked the depth of what was there on the left in the first image. Is it possible to remove that sunburst and take the image into a graphic program and do some painting in of some various degrees of darkness, using a paint brush, smudge, soften, burn etc, to the tallest of the mountains on the right? Maybe do a search on the net for some landscape paintings and examine how the artists have used light and shadow in mountainscapes. The mountain on the right is starting to look better. The base of the mountain and the land in front of it would be considerably darker than the middle or top because the mountain is blocking the sun from that area. The lighting in the top image would be bang on if the sun was not in the background, and was off to the left, and off the image.

It's lovely! The perspective shadow of the people is off though given the direction of the sun behind them; the shadow should be more in front. Also the mountains should be darker at the base to give more depth, but other than that, I like the image very much.

That's excellent. I agree with thefixer on the hairy front :)The small amount of facial hair is a nice touch. On thing, it's hard to tell from the angle of the image, does his legs have hair? They look rather smooth in that image.

Thread: File Compression? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - There is a script supplied with P6 that will do the job for a whole directory tree (i.e. a Runtime).
I have Poser 5. There is a Python button just below the "use file compression", what does that do? I know Python is some kind of computer coding, but never heard of it until last year when I got Poser 5. The only coding I know anything about is HTML, and that's not really coding :)

Where do you get Clothes Converter? I have trouble with all of Vicky's clothes in anything but a standing position, and even then sometimes if a leg is sticking out as in a dance pose. I am not a patient person, and will get deeply frustrated having to go in and alter one piece of clothing at a time. Ugh! Batch converter sounds much better.

Ok,that helped, thanks :)
Actually, Tailor does read .crz files. I was able to open the compressed figure without a problem.... sweet :)
I tried that tutorial for magnets yesterday and got all mixed up with it. Besides, it won't help me fit clothes to a sitting figure. All my figures are standing because I can't fit their clothes to their bodies and I don't think Magnets will help me with that.

Quote - start winzip and drag a compressed obj or cr2 into winzip, it should (in version 8) ask you where gzip is installed, find gzip and then winzip will be able to decompress the files (you only have to point to gzip once).
Is that how you compress all the zillions of library files too? Winzip, gzip... one at a time?!!

Ok, I opened Poser, injected Vicky with the character addon morphs, then saved her to the library in the "Poses" folder, and I can see her, but can't use the figure. The only symbol at the bottom of the library is the minus ( - ) one, and I don't know how to get that newly injected figure into the pose window. Double clicking doensn't work either.

Thread: File Compression? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually detail explaination here :) I have no clue how this works either. How do you compress the runtime files? I managed to compress a .pz3 file I was saving and rather than it being 60K kb, it was just over 9K kb in size. There is something in that option that says "run python" something or other. All I did was check the box "use file compression" and didn't touch the python button, then clicked OK. Do I have to do something else to compress the library files because I don't notice a difference in disk space at all.

Don't pack it in just yet :) I'm a person of little patience and am a slow learner when it comes to Poser. It takes me awhile to learn any program actually. That's just the way it is for me. Take it one program at a time. Work with Poser, learn it. Then move into making textures. Then start in with dabbling into the 3D programs to make models. As people keep telling me, slow down and learn to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run. There aren't any good books about Poser on the market. But Dr. Geep has some good tutorials. You just need to keep working through tutorials that you find, some more than once while working with a different object using different settings etc in order to get the hang of the dials and buttons and stuff. These programs aren't easy, at least for me they aren't. But don't give up. There are lots of people here that can help you... and me... and anyone else who is new, or newer, to learn. Just pick one program to work with instead of trying to figure them all out at once. You have sensory overload and are feeling overwhelmed and probably a whole lot confused.

I saw some at 3D Commune, but I don't remember where abouts. It was freebie though. I waded through dozens and dozens of pages and if I found something I liked, I clicked the link and would either be sent to another site, or get a download window. I was checking out those sites that I was directed to for further content. You'll just have to spend some time wading through many files to find those shoes though.
