Wow, someone finally made a tutorial on this! And it's a beautiful work, Kendra! A few months ago I found out a similar method for waterfalls. Additionally I tweaked the tip-width and hair-width. So you can get a more whirling appearance of the water masses tumbling down. A similar method can be applied to flames (made from hair wich goes up). I agree with Kendra, that a low number of hairs most is important so the "stranded" appearance of falling water or flickering flames works out well. How did it go? "Save the dragons - collect them all!" I've spilled some cups of coffee over my keyboard while browsing through BigT's library. Willy

I'm more for the new features as I can use the old stuff with my old P4, so I'm fine with that. On the other hand I'm convinced that depending on latest 3D-hardware is a mixed blessing. Namely the games industry suffers lost business by "back-level" computers on the end user's side, because some of their latest funky games just won't play on hardware which is older than like, half a year. As many of you know, I suppose, gamers are constantly upgrading their rigs because of this one ultimate game not delivering on their current machine. To my own regret it's mostly the 3d-card, which gets a fit when loading said game. Maybe it's only shitty programming, maybe it's inferior drivers - but I for one wouldn't like to upgrade my machine every time DAZ or some other company hits the counters with a new plug-in for a - come on, confess - rather simple rendering program! Sorry folks. I'm in a deep sorrow today. I still vividly remember the shock of January, 28th, 1986 when Challenger was lost. Please, forgive me talking too much. Willy

Space exploration is a daring enterprise - and it is worth the best of our efforts. And the efforts of our best. It is the human quest asking for answers from where we come and where we'll go and what it's all about. The Columbia crew knew there were dangers. It was their personal decision - noone walks this road because of trivial reasons. So we should give our thoughts and prayers to the families who lost a person whose life and dreams they were lucky to share. Keep them in good rememberance. Willy

My condolences to our friends in the US, Israel and India, who lost their brave astronauts by a tragic accident. I'm shocked and in sorrow. But we survivors should remember: It is human to dare and it is human to fail - but more than anything else it is human to stand up again and succeed finally. Willy

Yesss, dialyn! 8-) I really like his style with the characters he uses to bring forth his point in dialog form. Which is, btw, a very old form of teaching material, remember Plato's dialogs or Gallilei's dialogs - pretty strong material. Willy

Hi pyro, nice to have you here. What you're looking for are prbably some tutorials for the basics. You can find some in the so called "backroom". Just hit the link above. Personally I find the tutorials by geep very interesting, because they teach you in a very entertaining way. They are not so much about the basics but about how to get most out of your beloved tool (Poser, that is :-) Just do a search for geep in this forum. I wish you a flat learning curve and most important: HAVE FUN!! (excuse the capitals). WillyThread: walk designer issue | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sigh - I had that knee-jerk (with all P4 figures!) since P4PP. I thought it was me. No solution to this. Willy PS: The old P4-demo had a functioning walk designer - but I de-installed it before I got P4.
