My first attempt at scaling down the Y left me with short and fat with really long arms. I have PosetteV3 and V4 with elite morphs too. Also other than standing next to an unmodified model its hard to determine height. I'm surprised nobody has developed a height scaling morph or python script.

But does judy have enough morphs to make a realistic face?

Thanks all. I have some free choices now and some for as much as $65. Unfortunatly for me I found RuntimeDNA just when I had purchased almost everything I want from renderosity and Daz3D. It will cost me at least $500 to $1000 over the next few months. Oh well progress. I'm also glad to know that it is no small undertaking. It may not save me as much time as I hoped. But it will free me up to explore new styles.

Where it runs out of memory makes sense too. It's right when the camera moves towards 3 large highly reflective surfaces, 12 wines glasses and our poser charachter and his head of hair. It seems obviose now that I could have just done some test renders of frame 660 to 700 and looked for the out of memory problem.
as for the render to jpg option that is the approach i will use on the next sceene. I'm living with a bug right now on 7inf 38524 that won't allow me to change file format on animations once I have made the first one. Vue stops responding and eventually needs to be restarted.

Lew, I ended up deleting all the cameras, or resetting them all to zero. What would happen is in 4 view, with focus on main camera, or single main camera view I would frame a shot just the way I wanted it to look. Upon rendering the camera perspecive has changed to slightly zoomed, or made more wide angle as sometimes an item at the top of frame may now be off screen.

And thank you for the advice on Kelbytraining.com I am a member of Lynda.com and have learned a tremendous amount with their on-line classes. This site looks pretty sharp too, with a more narrow focus. This forum and the Poser forum have also been a huge help over the past 12 months of learning.

Now we are talking. Specific, easy to use advice. So render, as uncompresses avi, edit in CS3 and then encode/compress. I used MS moviemaker and saw my 1.5 gigabyte movie shrink to 25mb, but I had no control over the process.

Yes an i7 is only 25% slower than a DUAL ZEON of the same speed. For heavily threaded applications like Vue7. it's also easier to find a SLI or Crossfire motherboard for an i7 than for a dual zeon system.

1. They are desktop PCs but not used for any purpose other than rendering, while rendering. I will try with optimizing for background services and turning off sidebar cpu utilization monitoring  screen saver etc.
   2:  I'll drop the 32s and try again. 1 can be upgraded to 64bit, 1 can't,
2. How big in Meg? do you mean the saved  .vue is about 100mb, is that the question.
   5.  I'll check the cables, I think they are cat5e. The dell switch has good management. but I haven't tried tweeking it, it was just put in to share these pcs.

The scene is Poser7 and Vue  ecosystem plus imported objects global ambience.

I pushed the quality up to broadcast 900 frames 800x600. I really just use final but i wanted a longer render time to see the difference between the 2 methods better.

So let's see, I tried upgrading 10 times it failed each time, well sometimes it looked like I was going to get 2 of the 4 on the same version and overnight, POW, they are all at 7.2now! Your encouragement that sometimes if you try long enough it will upgrade worked.
Unless i turn off user controls (Vista64) I can't put them in startup, but I will live with this limitation, I don't trust the internet, or computers connected to it very much. You must, must, run them as administrator in compatibility tab, but I had done that early in the process.

I bought SkinVue7 but haven't installed it yet, if that solves the issue I'm ok with that, somewhat. But render farms were a big reason to move my animations out of Poser7 and into vue, SkinVue will fix skin issues, but what else will I loose?

Thank you for your responses to date you have been very helpfull. I looked up Audacity and I don't see how it would be of use. I have the wav file I used for the charachter lipsync animation still. I just now have silence rendered nicely). I know a tool like microsoft movie maker can add audio back in but destroy my nicly un-jaggy un-compressed video. What did you have in mind?

There you go. I was afraid I had made a foolish error getting only PhotoshopCS4E and not the whole suite. But if there is an open source tool that's easy to use I will gladly try it (tonight).
