Here is exactly what Slynky suggested for the original image (which I was going to call "Eye-Scream" but I thought that was a bit too corny so it's just "Untitled IIb")~ "the background is killer man. I'd like to see the eye put behind the background, enlarged, with the tiles magnifying it to differing extremes to really fawk things up. Then again thats just me. Great stuff dude" Oh and there's a link to my Gallery here at Renderosity if you're interested in any of the other stuff I've done...Stay Well! Thanks again, Slynky, everyone!Thread: A lot of cats... | Forum: Photography

Sorry the 'puter crashed on you Ry, but I'm glad you were spoilt...Now, to these demands of yours, (lol) Comments: the more I see this, the more in it I see, the more I like it. I really do want to see the Full-Blown image in the size it is intended to be printed and viewed in. Excellent work, you deserve all the praise you get on this'n.

Now that IS an interesting effect! (Nice image BTW) Do you know, some people (like me) would spend hours & hours and use a multitude of filters to get the effect you've got here! LOL! That really is quite an amazing alien-plant-thing you've photographed though...what is it?

No Red-eye reduction, but if you 'select' a circular or oval area over the pupil that you need to change and go to Ctrl-U (I think it's option-U in Apple) you can adjust the hue, saturation and lightness of that area to give you a great deal of control. It sounds time consuming but once you get used to it it does give you a lot of options...of course you can use curves, contrast or any other tool in photoshop to adjust the selected area, I find the Hue/saturation adjustment works best for me in these instances (weird-eyed nude & armed animals that is!) LOL!!

LOL, no Sydd, didn't win anything, my Pa-In-Law grew it! (I was quite pleased to have it for a willing subject, however...I had only taken about 10 shots with my new camera when I took this, so I was fairly happy with the result)

Great images, the second one is really nice. As a rule, I hate rules, I like what Alpha said about guidlines....be aware of them, but don't let them dictate! Show em who's boss. ;-)>

Hi Sweetwon, great to see you in this forum! Loved the photo of your cat, and the 'thinking' shot was really good for one of your first goes at your digital, even if it wasn't intended, the soft-focus look quite suited the image. Keep on asking questions here, because Alpha, Syyd and the rest of the gang know the biz! (and have fun taking lots of shots with your new camera!)

P.S. There was no post processing (apart from shrink and crunch, which would have lost some detail) to the image...thanks and wishing everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good Christmas,I for one ate WAY too much...
