Thread: Result of my first experiment on Vue4 demo... | Forum: Vue
Wow thanx everybody ! The character is exported as a 3DStudio object (3ds). I forgot to say that, with a lower number of lights, there's no problem of softness. Lights are not volumetric, the star effect is from the 'lens flare' editing box, and it's effectively a playing around with Intensity, Amount and Sharpness. For the shadow option, half of the lights have no shadow. OK, sharen, I will write a quick tutorial on this. (In english, it will be a challenge for me, but I can do it !!! :-D) You're right, Varian, I forgot to check it... this will never occur anymore ! :-) PS : I can say that, as it is said on e-on site, the Vue4 demo is fully functionnal. Only the save option and rendering at higher resolution than 640x480 are disabled. I can't wait to have bucks for purchasing Vue4...

Well, here's some ideas : Charging... Scream orders... Agonising... Throwing arrows... Helping a soldier to stand up... Report situation to generals...$ Charging on a horse... Falling from a horse's back... Grasping hand on the arrow planted in the neck... Running scared... Climbing Heap of Corpses... Entering in Berserker's rage... :-) Standing gloriously over a victim... Walking stealthly in the back of an ennemy... etc... And there are so many variation in attack/defense poses (it's incredible the time warriors spend in attacking or definding while there is so many funny things to do on a battlefield :-D) Hope this will help you

Sorry to say no... You'll have to redo the job... but camera animation is really painless. You can design you own camera moves or use the assistant for having realist vehicules moves (helicopter, plane, moto, etc...)

Really pleased that our advices helps you to make your final scene... Here's what the scene inspires to me : "Here come the Comedians Look at them smile Watch them dance an Indian mile Look at their gesture How aplomb So to gesture everyone" Jim Morrison

This looking good... now, I want to see the final result of this research ! (Well... I am an art student and we're always thinking through researchs and results... excuse me ! :-)) And, I want to say that, if I agree with what Laurie said, "we are friendly folks" don't talk about it ! Everyone think we are ugly little rats... :-) Now, you're a newbie, as yous said, and I want to welcome you in this wonderfull community !!!

Hi, Velvet' ! I think Sharen's Idea is the best, and more easy than create your road in a 3D application. I can only propose a different way to make it with more control on your job : Make your first terrain and export it as a JPG or BMP. Save and close your scene. You can now open and edit the picture in any image editor to add your road manually. Then, open your saved scene and create a second terrain with your image. This method will probably need a few trys, but you can obtain good results... Hope this can help you... Maybe someone will have a better idea...

Hi Gerald ! I annonced the Vue4 demo on this forum the 13th of this month, and if you read my previous posts, you will see that I had some problems with this 'Internal Error' message. I just can say that you downloaded the demo too early 'cause the file has been modiefied after I contacted E-on... You simply must download it again... Sorry for you !
