The press release starts out calling it a merger, but then goes on to say that e frontier approved the acquisition of Curious Labs and "Curious Labs management approved the acquisition of their company by e frontier." So, yes, Curious Labs was bought by e frontier. As the press release says: "... making e frontier the parent company of Curious Labs in the U.S. "

Perhaps the normals are facing in the wrong direction for those faces? I know with some 3D programs when you create a face, the order that you select the vertexes in will determine if the face is facing forward or backward.

Tuttle, there is nothing you can do to stop casual theft of images on your site. It does not matter where you place the images. If somebody can see an image on their browser then that image is already downloaded and on their computer. They can steal it by right clicking on it (you can't stop right clicking if they simply disable javascript). They can also search their cache (temporary internet files) since all images they can see on their browser are in there. Worst case, they can simply do a screen capture and trim the result.

eelie, did you see my last post on your Dear John thread, with a picture I did of folded paper? (there was no response to my post, so I'm guessing not)

One thing to remember with meta balls is that balls within one group don't effect balls within another group. Try making the body with a few balls grouped together and then make the head with a couple more in a different group.

For their target market, broadcasters, pro illustrators, etc..., their prices are common. Figure $100-$500 each for standard stock photos that are not as high res.

Plus you would need a dimensional stabilizer to fit all that interior into the tardis .OBJ ;~}
Thread: OT: Anyone been to Akihabara? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The core part of Akihabara isn't all that large, so it's easy enough to walk around. My favorite part was the rows and rows of small booths that go all the way through one building. There must be a hundred or more "mini-shops", sort of like an indoor flea market. It feels sort of like a couple of tunnels (or maybe that was just because I'm 6'3", which is pretty big over there)

Well, I've only been using Bryce for 1 week, so don't know the best ways to do things yet, but I made the following image by:
Placing three 2D Faces at angles to each other to make the shape. Created the texture at 512 x 512 in Photoshop. Grouped the three faces and applied the texture.
Then I selected just the top face and using the Edit Texture window shown in message 10 above I set the Y Scale to 300% and the Y offset to 66. Then I selected the middle face and set the Y scale to 300% and the Y offset to 33. Then selected the lower face and set it's Y scale to 300% and left the offset alone.

It looks nice. A couple of ideas: You could have a picture frame in the closeup, with the picture of a couple in it, and the open door reflected in the glass in the frame. BTW, a little bit of a doorframe showing might enhance the "open" door effect. Also, to make the "Dear John" part of the letter more readable you could bend the paper. It looks like you have the "tri-fold" creases in the letter from being in the envelope. The top of the letter could bend up at the upper crease, making it easier to see what it says at the top.
Thread: how to make clothes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you now use Max, what is it about Truespace that you still use? Is it because you are more familiar with the user interface, or are there some features that are simply better in TS for what you do? (I'm considering buying a high end modeller, and don't like the idea of buying more than one)

If you have V3 and removed the ! from in front of the main DAZ folder, you will be in trouble when you try to inject morphs.
Thread: "TROLLING"... what's YOUR definition? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In all the forums I've been involved in "trolling" refers to somebody who comes along and asks a question where they don't really care about the answer, they just want to stir things up. Or where they make a statement with a lie or a half truth, again to stir things up. The common example is "Which is better, Mac or PC?" They really don't care, they just want to see how big a fight they can stir up. Another might be " is not only cheaper, it's far better than ". (this would be trolling if posted in the forum of product y, but not if it was posted in the forum of product x) The term came from "Fishing for a reaction", or "Trying to bait someone into an arguement".
