Yeah, I should apologize too, for posting my Asian character that I never finished...And apologies to ODF for the off topic/non Antonia tangent from all concerned...

So i noticed that there are a lot more "photo realistic" images showing up on DA. But every one of them has the same issue. Most people have body hair. Sometimes it's very hard to see, but it's there. These images are lacking that. Most are made by DAZ artists. And they look pretty good at a quick glance. A second look and you can tell it's 3D art and not a real person. And closer examination, especially in full nude shots where the sun would reveal the body hair... nada.

It was one of the problems I was having when I was trying to create my own character. I have long since abandoned the idea, but I was starting to get something I kind of liked. This was before retopology or anything, but I couldn't get the fold right...WELL CLOSE BUT THE FOLD IS STILL CLEARLY MISSING. OF COURSE NOT TO SOUND "RACIST" OR ANYTHING BUT THERE ARE MANY "ASIAN" EYE SHAPES BASED ON WHAT PART OF ASIA FROM, GENDER, ETC. BUT THE BEST EXAMPLE IS STILL THE PHOTO POSTED A FEW PAGES BACK I LOVE AND HAVE TRIED DUPLICATING IN POSER FIGURES W/O MUCH SATISFACTION.

I will work on better textures for the dress and maybe use it as the final angel in the dark scene I have been messing with.

I tried to just do a render with the ground plane hidden and using the ezdome. The only other thing in the render is V4 and a throw away prop dress I made trying out the latest version of Wings 3D

I have been locked so hard into my workflow that I didn't even realize there was an update to Wings. I was still using 2.1.5As a conversational aside, knowing that you use Wings mostly, I just downloaded the latest version and it performs way better than whatever version I was using. Maybe I accidentally installed the 32 bit version last time because this installation is like night and day above what I had installed. Very nice. The forced drag docking of the UV editor was driving me crazy, solved in this version. Plus graphically much prettier. I was a bit worried about Wings for a minute there, I mean it's getting buried by Blender but for some things it's just much faster.
Anyway.
When I said "compose" earlier I meant putting the landscapes together. Not making them. So for instance you could take a few smaller grassy rocks and such and combine them together so that the textures aren't so obviously pixelated. See what I'm saying?
I downloaded the latest version and I will install it as a separate program in case I don't like it, and will go back to 2.1.5 after I mess with it.

I might try to create a blank around her to give off an aura. Seachnasaigh taught me how to do that.

If I do this again, it would be from James' point of view more, so that her in the air like that would look majestic. And I would use a wind generator to make her clothing fan out from her, like they did with Sigourney Weaver in Ghost Busters. This was kind of the same concept, but a little more subdued.

Someone resurrected it, so we all just jumped back in. Kind of cool how that can happen, sometimes.Seven years later and this thread is still going!!!!

I washed out her eyes a little bit (on purpose), so it's hard to tell that she is looking right at James.

I don't know. I think the first one was better...

I am not cranking them up that high. I kind of wanted the eyes to wash out a little bit. But I am running a second render right now and I am fairly happy.

I think I will redo it anyhow. And make it a less thematically dark scene.

I didn't save the pz2. But if I do make something like this again, I'll take that into account.

Just doing something while I work out a couple of issues in my head. Thought it might be fun. There is only one light in the scene, a spotlight I am using to fake the street lamp, since they didn't include an actual lamp in the prop. I plugged that texture into V4 and set the ambient to .5 on her skin and to 5 on her eyes and sclera. I used Simon casual and one of his Poser 9 poses that I had to tweak.
