Everyone seems to have pretty well answered the question on the morph... I just wanted to add that new to a complex peice of software doesn't mean stupidity. I was extremely clueless when I first got into 3d a few years ago... practically scared to try anything. It took a lot of questions, some of which sounded pretty foolish to me, and a lot of trial & error to get practiced. Keep it up, and ask questions anytime.

jstawarz2: That's tacky... That's cruel, That's funny! I like it... That's why I seldom to more than trial renders in Poser... I export into bryce where it's faster snicker

If the "j" is treated as the spanish "j", I could probably mangle it... Otherwise Nyah, ain't gonna happen. Whadda ya go by for short? I can get OEM rates, but that requires an order of 5+ parts from Aberdeen or TC. If I have 5-6 client machines that all wan't the exact same processor & mobo make/model i can get fairly good rates... like THAT happens a whole lot. Gaming and graphics people are about as individualistic as you can get on the hardware preferences... Not a complaint, just an observation. I actually love what I do for a living. Sorry Toad... seems like we wandered a bit off the beaten track there... what was the question? (Just kidding)

I like your splash image. Post some more. I second what everyone else said. This is the best/only site of it's kind (That I know of) I hope you like it here, and it's good to have you join us. If you hadn't posted the cover image, I'd probably never have seen it: I'm more a classic rock & jazz man. Thanks.

I was so fried last night I forgot to reply to the gist of the post. Good prices, hot machine. Unfortunately, a small custom builder can't get those kind of price breaks. That's why the diff in the two estimates, I reckon. Oh well... someday.

Hello. Good advice Istawrz2... It seems the cost estimet on a dedicated render station might be a bit low... I build graphics machines and I can't seem to get the final cost with monitor down below $3500+. Adding a Solid State quantum drive will kick that throuh the roof... If you have any credit, or access to a willing partner with credit, you can add leasing to the machine options. Some leases can run really low per month. Btw, does anyone know if Bryce3D or Bryce four will actually address the graphics accelerator? I know b2 didn't.

Thanx Toad, that was my question too, If the plane was done in Bryce, how? Very nice modeling. You might try a cloud mat or someting with a fuzzy attribute on the prop to give it motion blur...

Thread: new to bryce... | Forum: Bryce
If you have problems finding the positive/negative panel, select the item and click on the little "A" icon at the top of the row to the right... That'll bring up the attributes window for the object. The others bring up other neat panels (I'm not bieng insulting, I tried to explain this to another bryce user and we both got frustrated untill I realized he didn't have the slightest idea what I was talking about or how to bring up the Attributes, Material Editors, Edit menu etc. If this is info you all ready know, please forgive... Im not trying to patronize) That said, Caligula, how do you make a lattice or terrain solid? Is this in the edit pull up? Guess even an oldie can larn a new trick!

Thread: First Character Test: Temple Guard | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you arabinowitz, she can guard mt temple anytime, too... She and her twin are going into a tomb raider scene I'm working on. The only hangup is wether my WS can actually render the file once it's built... I'm going to try to work out the breast morphs 1st, but I may do a prelim post in my gallery with what I have now.

Thread: Arcady Ears Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Cool. Thanks everyone. (And yes, arcady, yours are the ones I'm using. very nice work there, in spite of my question on this) Thanks for the links, I'll go search. Don't get me wrong, I think the arcady ears are wonderful, I just have a character idea that needs a different style. And, you cant have too many pointed ear morphs...

Thaks for all the comments. I'll try that on the morph mixing. I'm afraid that since I'm new to poser4 I havent gotten the hang of all the tricks: morphs, magnets etc... working on it though! No outside lighting used... Bryce sky; beautiful woman texture with 25 diffuse, 20 ambient, 5 & 5 specularity & metallicity, and 2 on reflection. Texture in ambient & diffuse chanell A. Smaller boobs: I've had the smae thought on bladewoman, but hey, it's fantasy. And arcady's right, there are a few babes in the topless world that don't sag with bigger tits (silicon, mabey?) Again, Thanks and I'll keep workin at it. I'll continu to post my efforts till I get it right.

Yeah, I'll send you the check the same way, along with an invoice for troubleshooting services snicker (After all I did help find the bug, eh? Call me a beta tester...). I am glad that the header and e-mail got such quick response. I hope you get it going ok soon. Thanks.

Thread: An introduction.... | Forum: Bryce
Ah sooo... Guess I just never clicked on that one (Doh!). Whenever my head gets too big, it's nice to pull a real boner to deflate my hat size. Now that you've mentioned it, I found it in my bryce4 pull down. Oh well, it's still a nice pic.

Thread: Poser and the game "the sims" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Don't get the Sims unless you never want to do anything else. It's horribly addictive. But fun, though. Is it possible to find an export for poser to Sims skins add-on?
