What you can do is: 1) Don't use the disk any more, don't touch it, disconect it 2) Put a new HD in your PC 3) Install Windows 98 (custom instalation without all items) on your new disk 4) Install Norton Utilities 5) It will be good if you can install some Power Quest software, I don't know the name, but is one can can make images of the winchester. 6) Install you old HD as slave 7) Try to make an image of your failed disk 8) Run Norton's Disk Doctor, maybe it can repair it. Save the undo's

I haven't any problem with Stephanie and have only 160M of RAM and the swap file can only increase to 200M (no more space in the driver C:, Poser is in driver F:), so I can have only 360M virtual memory maximum. I only use Windows 95, other Windows suck!!!!!!

The problem is the UV mapping. With the obj format you can have texture coordinates for each face vertices and with 3ds format you can have only a texture coordinate for each vertex. So if you have two faces sharing a vertex with 3ds this vertex can have only one UV coordinate and with obj or Poser you can have 2 coordinates : one for the front face and one for the back face. So in 3dsMax you will have this problem in every junction where the texture map splits the body parts.

The problem are not the lights but the lighting model of Poser. Poser uses Lambert model for diffuse light and Phong/Blinn for the specular components. These models aren't good for human skin.

I had some similar problem and solved copying the file "P4NudeWom.obj" to another one "anyname.obj" and editing the cr2 of the character to use the geometry "anyname.obj". I don't know why this happens.
