(Stephanie is almost the same as Vicky) There are many other models like Eve, Tiziana, Natalie ,Dina, etc, but few people uses them because the problem of clothes, If these models have similar shapes, everybody can use everybody clothes with little adjustments. The idea is not against the comerce, but against the MONOPOLY. Daz can continue selling their products, I can continue selling my products, the consumer can continue buying or using free items, everybody wins. What I was against is that only one wins and the rest only has the option of buying from only one.

If I create something new using my own mesh NOBODY can stop me, they can not like this, they can say what they wants, they can try, but they CANNOT STOP ME.

UV Mapping: There's no need that the geometries have the same vertices and uv coordinates, the only that is needed that the face position on the map is the same for one model and other, the eyes position on the map are the same, and so on. It don't matters if you have more vertices or less, they needen't have the same x,y,z coordinates. Remember that the texture coordinates are interpolated between the coordinates of the vertices. For example you can have a plane with a face and 4 vertices or a plane with 100 faces and ~400 vertices, but when you apply a texture they look exactlty the same. Similar dimension doesn't mean that the characters will look the same, you can scale the body parts and do the same with the clothes, apply morphs, different textures, etc

I can help with the software. About creating own models, it will be usefull the create some few standarts (GNU) that everybody that creates a new model will follow: 1) All models uses the same texture map 2) All models have similar body dimensions. The meshes can be completely different but the can use the same texture map and the clothes made for one fits into another one

And what happens if I make a software with features like Tailor and many more? This software can be: 1) Sold 2) Free 3) Open source ??????????

The clothes are superfluos, Vicky, Stephanie and Posette only needs some skin texture and a hair, maybe also some ropes or chains.

And another point: The products that are sold at Renderosity and other sites, in general, are better that the ones that Daz sell

Some question: Daz can put any thing that he wants with his copyright, but they are legal. He can put in his copyright that you can't use xxx method for creating derivate meshes, but if they haven't legal rights for forbiding you to use the xxx method, you can simple ignore what they say. The best thing is to find what is legal and was isn't in Daz copyright statements. Consult a lawyer and not what Daz is telling. Second point: If the Daz impositions are legal and this causes harm to the Poser community, just publish this restrictions in all Poser sites, and then nobody more will buy Daz's products.

I never import pictures into Poser, Poser is wrong and stupid downsampling and then upsampling again the picture. I use a simple square sized to fit the window (x,y) and position it far away (z translate) from the other objects. You can then use your image as texture, there's no degradation of the image in the final rendering and you can have illumination effects adjusting the lights that illuminate the background plane.

All the problems are due the existense of censure and the try to preserve the "moral" of the kingdom. As in any kind of censorship, it's allways arbitrary and depends on the eyes of the Inquisitor. So if anyone wants the censure to protect their children (allways the same excuse), he must assume the existance of arbritrary acts like this and live with this fact.
