I've sat and read through this again properly now that I'm not holding my eyes open with matchsticks; plainly put in British English, this means that coz the BW side is making a loss they want to sell it off so that someone can buy it and up the prices coz they've then got the Ilford name. I'd happily run down to the bookies and put a tenner on Jessops (photography shop chain) buying it, but hey, I'm an amateur ;-) Whatever happens, traditionalists using Ilford can expect to see a decent price hike in their stuff, imo...... Y'know Cyn, when I wrote that it sounded brilliantly sarcastic, in a British-upper-class-thick-as-sh*t sort of way. Now it's just getting on my nerves. (",) Phhhhrt!

Yeah, I agree with that idea, Cyn. I mean, next thing you know people will actually be favoring others purely on merits of sexual taste. Like blondes, that sort of thing. (",) btw, is it true blondes get dirty quicker? lol btwa, notice the American spelling of favouring earlier?!? good, eh?

Damn, that's bad. As it happened at work, is there no way you can claim anything back from their insurance? If it was in a room not intended for public access then surely they should be covered for employees belongings? I mean, it's a distinct lack of security in general on their behalf if anyone can just walk into labs. Grrr - I feel angry for ya now!!! (",)

Thread: Four entries for the September challenge....Speed | Forum: Photography
Ah, the first and fourth one don't really count as speed, though. I've been to these events and seen those mystical hovering riders myself - they just hold in the air for hours, showing off. Smartasses. S'funny when they lose balance and fall down tho' (",)

Tedz, I used to be a necrophiliac until..... erm, no, that's not a joke for here...... I like the 2nd one 'Chelle. Rayso, that reminds me of my hols up in Scotland last month - we found a rockpool with a load of shells in (no pun intended!) that we thought were just winkles like the other pools... it wasn't until virtually all of them got their claws out and started running about we noticed they were all hermit crabs... not kidding, at least 250-300 of them all together! A great sight. (",)

Ilford? What model of digital camera do they make? Actually, even I admit it's a shame. I'm sure all of us have fond memories of our first attempts in the darkroom have a red-lit box of Ilford papers sitting in the corner....
