Wow that is quit a piece. What I wod do is some color correction. Change the atmosphere. Make it a bit darker so there is more dimension. This ensures that the image pops and feels more dynamic.
Regarding the settings, I never used them myself. But you could have a play with those settings on a smaller draft render and see if you like the result. If not change it a bit and rerender. That's the way you learn lol.

You can find lots of texturing tutorials for blender on YouTube. Pasting a scar across a seam uses basically the same principles as texturing a whole skin texture. But this is less time consuming.

Yes rhasseltine is right. You still need to place them first on a map and save them as a transparent (png for example) image in order to use it with lie.
It is not that hard.

The 3d projection modes in either package will let you paint over the seams, with no trouble.
Just to show you what is possible:

I'm afraid you have to use a photo editing software. I use a 3d painting app called 3dcoat and from there I send it to photoshop. This way I have everything ik the right scale because I can paint on the 3d model directly.
If you don't want to spend money, you can use blender. It does the same trick. You can also export there to say photoshop or gimp.

We are talking about vram, gpu. For most people 8 is enough. Normal ram, I agree but that doesn't speed up the renderer much anymore.

You can always make morphs yourself. And btw they would also make great background or test models for animation.
And if you texture in a 3d painting app the los figure works much faster.

The problem with the 4000 is, that it is not going to render faster. It also depends how fast the cpu is. Different speeds for the 4000 is depended on the cpu model. Is Tis conperable with the geforce 3300m series. I had a 940m series and poser did not render fast.
I would go for a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming OC 6G, that one is around 300 bucks
