Mpeg is great and if windows user, I have been playing with Huffyuv 2.1.1 at http://math.berkeley.edu/~benrg/huffyuv.html and have cut file size down by up to half and for working with flash have been playing with FLIXPRO at http://www.wildform.com. They have a demo version so you can check and see if it works for you.

oh didnt know they tracked me.... and I've been spending hours loading all my purchases into a database! ah well, keep the fingers limber! I have been getting the $1.99 on all other items in my cart and have not left the Platinum area (that is how I messed up last time) yet the items toonkitty and mike face morphs which i put in basket from platinum - are showing wrong prices. I ran into the same problems with 4.03 - I ended up upgrading my mem to 512m (doubled it) and defragged the heck out of my disk. Then the problem stopped but cant load a lot of characters at a time w/o losing control of the characters. would suggest first a defrag and make sure that you have enough hard disk for paging (i dedicate one disk to do paging and nothing else with high min and max set for virtual) and taking out all programs running that you dont need. Might save you a few dollars on upgrading memory... Good Luck!

I broke down and bought a p42.8g with 400ddr mem of 1gig (along with all other ddr that I dont understand) and was very frustrated to find that my laptop 98 loaded it faster than my xp pro..... as a remote terminal no less! Then somewhere along the chains of searching here, I found that if I shut off the WindowsXP pretty stuff and viewed classic (display settings) - Poser jumped up and worked a lot faster. Still not a great pickup for my expenditure but now I have a fast mobo, mem, himem vid card (went ATI as saw 2 many complaints on nvideo) and lots of harddisk to totally commit to my 3d.... Hopefully, next upgrade will... aw well, nothing is ever fast enough and I started using computers back when there was no PC! Hope you enjoy your experience - P5 has been "quite" the interesting learning environment and I am just barely touching on the clothes now as materials and faces took me so long to feel comfortable with. ty Little Dragon, that is the one that I bought and tried to mold to my 3dfx logo parrot..... Needless to say, I failed! But would definitely pay for a truely mobile/talkative one. Have been contemplated replaceing the wings with songbird but due to P5 am setting up new computer with mass mem and of course having to reinstall.... Ah, well, my 1.8g lasted almost 2 years - guess I should be happy!?! again thank you

have actually done the msagent - and just follow their guidlines when creating the animation (on msdn) for phonetics, animation, size etc. but have done so on a manual basis - have not seen anything to automate the transfer from 3d to msagent.

Is fairly simple though as most models come w/phenomes built in. and msagent site and msdn has tons of info for creating the agents from your bitmaps.

ericofSD - love programming MSagents to keep my family, clients and friends amused. Have you found anything other than the standard development [picture by picture or avi by avi]? I have searched all over msdn and have all new MSagent stuff but is still a pain.... Any programmers (me data not graphic oriented) got an itch to build an interface for transferring to MSagent?

Just moved mine from one drive to another using an XP OS via the windows explorer and had absolutely no regedit needed - but your desktop and programs listing (assuming windows since you have p5) shortcuts will have to be changed. Just right click on link then left click on properties and change from c: to d: and save. All textures, figures, mover, cr2edit, etc. works. If you need some help - will be happy to accomodate - contact me at jerri@cruzanware.com - will be on all day and know win95 thru xp pro very well (my living is programmer so stuck knowing all this nonsense!).

well, if you havent heard - the 30% off also extends to gift certificates. oops just checked and my mem max is 4096 limited by xp pro sr1. I have also been able to do remote control from laptop 98se (128m ram) and run P5 w/o any lockups since p5 beta 5 if that helps but seems most problems are with nvideo stuff and i use ati 2k. Dont flame me - just an observation..... hmm, just found 2 g to store stuff on - cool. thanks for your post and having me check :-)
