I work with ERC a lot and one thing I've noticed is that the crosstalk problem is incredibly inconsistent. I've found weird solutions to it that will work one day and not the next even though everything seems the same. I REALLY REALLY hope they fix it in Poser 5. Here's a quick easy trick. Set up Vicky how you want her then spawn a full body morph. Set it to 1 and reset the other morphs to zero. Do the same for Mike and make sure you use a different name on the full body morph. They should stay OK after that.

Thread: Guess where I got the Mannequin for my logo?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That last bit sounds like a missing reflection map. Some poser files are set to use .pct reflection maps but for some reason a lot of us can't use them even if we have them. If you open the cr2 in a text editor and do a search for ".pct" and replace with ".jpg" you should be able to fix it. Provided you have the same reflection map in jpeg format of course.

Thread: MOR file question... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Full Body morphs are different to normal morphs. You can't save them to the pose library but it's my understanding that with the right handwritten code in the pose file you can make poses which adjust full body morphs. Post the section of code you have for that morph currently and I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong. Include a fair chunk of the code preceding it.

Frankly, I think my EasyPose tube in the free stuff is your best optionl. You'll have to make your own texture, but for posability you'll have trouble finding an equal. Anthony, you should check it out too. The technique could be good for your stuff.

I don't know of any experiments along those lines. It would be worth trying I think.

I find that as long as the textures stay somewhere in the textures folder, Poser always finds them. However it can take quite a while for Poser to search the whole textures folder if the cr2/pp2 internal references aren't right.

Thread: Looking for Japanese clothes for woman p4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ISO's site has a very good kimono and lots of other cool clothes for P4 as well. Lots of the stuff available through his site has a Japanese feel. I don't have the url handy but look around and you should be able to find it. Search for "ISO".

Thread: How do you Make FORM poses? | Forum: Poser Technical
Well, I went back and found some downloadable FORM poses to check out. It looks like they call new magnets into being and those do the morphing. Tell me, do you see magnets popping up in the scene when you use the poses? (I don't have Poser on this machine so I can't check).

Thread: MAT files for props? | Forum: Poser Technical
It seems to be very simply because the little button you have to press to apply the pose hides itself unless the prop is parented to a figure. I assume that if the button were visible and usable there would be no problem.

Thread: How do you Make FORM poses? | Forum: Poser Technical
OK, here's a quote from the link you provided: "These files 'FORM' clothing to VV by changing morphs and scale information" Like I said, they just adjust the morphs and the scale. When Wyrmmaster describes them as "FORM" poses, the main thing he's getting at is that they don't carry the normal posing information that adjusts the position of the body parts. They ONLY carry scale and morph info. You can make them like normal poses but after making them you need to open them up in a text editor and remove the unwanted info. You may also need to add the scale info, since I'm not sure that normal poses save scale info. Without opening one of the poses in a text editor, I can't tell you if these poses carry the new morphs inside them. Wyrmmaster could tell you, if you ask him. Or you could open them in a text editor yourself and look for something that looks like morph delta info (lots of rows of numbers). I'd guess he probably did put the new morphs inside the poses, but it's just a guess. In any case, the first step is to make the clothing morphs that will be used by the pose.

Thread: How do you Make FORM poses? | Forum: Poser Technical
Now I'm confused. Are you trying to alter the figure or alter the clothing? All a pose can do for the clothing is scale it or morph it. The pose can only morph the clothing if the morph is already in the clothing or (I think I read something about this next bit recently) if it's one of those special hand made poses that actually carry the morph target inside them so that they install the morph at the same time as they pose it. Either way, you need the morph. If you're talking about poses for Voluptuos Vicky that make her fit inside standard Vicky's clothes then the only thing I can think of is that the pose turns off VV's morphs, basically returning her to normal Vicky. That's easy to do.

Thread: Looking at or into the camera | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
With a decent focal length (like 90mm say) you should be able to get close-ups without getting the camera all that close to the face. That might help.

Thread: Question on Library files... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sometimes character makers do this really irritating thing of putting the geometry in the same folder as the cr2, so you can't delete that folder, but other than that your characters can be in any subfolder of the character folder, poses can be in any subfolder of the pose folder etc. You can't have subfolders inside subfolders. Within those rules, go for your life. I strongly recommend you take a look at Yarp's P3DO explorer in the free stuff. (Make sure you get the latest version). It makes organising your Poser stuff a lot easier.

Thread: What does this message mean? | Forum: Poser Technical
The message means the face pose has information for morphs which are not in the figure to which you are applying the pose. You won't get it from the figure having morphs not in the pose. It only happens when Poser has instructions to adjust a dial that it can't find on the target figure. At least that's my understanding of it.

To match morphs on the target figure, there have to be corresponding morphs in the clothing. If it doesn't come with them, you need to learn how to use magnets to put them in.
