Or commonly called the explanation point . Uhhh... It's called the "exclamation" point. In ascii, upper case letters come before lower case letters. The exclamation point, and a number of other special characters come before any letters, and the underscore comes after the capital letters. So it all makes sense that the name sorting is the way it is.

One reason you might not have seen as many complaints from XP-home users is that most power users that get XP tend to get the Pro version.

If you inject a few morphs into V3 and then save and reload the scene (or save V3 with a few morphs as a new character and then load her into a scene) then you'll see the "-" labels.

Your OS is probably not configured right. Either not enough real RAM, or not enough virtual memory, or not enough clear hard drive space on the C: drive for virtual memory or temp files. My dual 1Ghz PIII system can inject every V3 morph in less than a minute.

About those empty dials... Did you try the dialcleaner program that you can download free at the bottom of the V3 page on the Daz3D site? The readme in V3 said something about having to run your character through that after saving it.

None of the stuff I download there has php at the end of the name. That is a web page designation, not a downloaded file designation. Are you clicking their download link, or are you right clicking and selecting "Save Target As...". You should be doing the first one, and that should set the name automatically with a .exe ending. The .exe file is an installer. It finds your poser folder and installs everything relative to that in the correct place. If it can't find the right folder, then you can browse to the right folder. It's usually something like "C:Program FilesCurious LabsPoser5" Or something similar depending on the operating system and the version of poser.

My understanding is that the morphs add a lot of code to the figure, which can slow poser. So this way you take the base figure and inject some of the morphs and save it as one character. Then inject a different combination of morphs and save that as another character. etc... That way you can make several customized V3s that each have a subset of all the morphs so they work faster. And of course at any time you can inject additional morphs to one of those characters in a scene if those morphs are needed. In other words, it lets you make several characters that each have a dozen or so morphs based on how you plan to use that specific character instead of each one being bloated with the code for hundreds of morphs that you won't use on the same character.
