Quote "The latest Digit Magazine says the first beta will be save disabled". This implies that later beta releases will have a save feature. Sounds to me as if DAZ want us to test the render interface first. Rather than try to do all things at once, they are going for a one step at a time approach. Going by the often hysterical reactions the users have given Curious Labs in this Forum, it appears DAZ is taking a more cautious approach.

I downloaded it last night and it installed with no problems. Had time to check the AVI texture problem which a number of my scenes suffer from and I can confirm it fixes the problem although you have to 'refresh' the link and save the file to fix it. After that it loads and remembers the link as it should. Now I can really start to play with AVI textures....
