Thank you very much for the link, gebe !!! I was not knowing it and it's a really good site with some good models. But most of them are low details... and, since I have not downloaded one (My HD is almost full), it like interiors are not detailed and there's no texture... And, yes, I forgot to say it : the jet model presented is really awesome !!!

Yes !!! I already know your and other's (wonderfull) sites. I think I have steal all the great available things on them ! :-) But, why leaving the vue section so despereratly empty ? I'm not talking for you, Laurie, Guitta or Varian, but for all the others vue users. Your contribution to vue's community, thru your sites or the forums is gold for us. But I think there is a lot of vue's users that have many little things on their computer wich can be really usefull for all of us. I'm still studying vue, waiting for a french version of vue4, but I planned to upload a lot of elements of my works. I made two pics from my current scenes (have you seen them ?) and I will probably upload the chain mail, old leather and dirtied armor materials. Well... that's all...

Already posted in the previous topic : Well... here's what I (and only I) can think about it... Making some really good models high detailed is a very very good idea... most of us are in need of such that kind of things ! Higly Poseable with ease of use ? We would be fool to refuse that... saving time on that kind of things is gaining time for searching the good lights, and camera angles :-) 100 000 Polys ? Well as it was said, when you want only one part of the model you hide what is not interesting for you... You need an outside looking of the plane ? You delete all the seats, and elements of cockpit. You camera is in cockpit ? Delete the rest of the plane !!! It's only 100 000 polys if you manage your scene mindless... Beside all this, the question is "is there a market fot this ?". I think, most of users (or I can say it for me), vehicles (planes, car, etc...) are usually only parts of a whole scene. Or, it should be usefull for professional users with specifics needs. I've never seen (or I may be blind ?) an attempt to make a scene inside of a car, a bus, or a plane. Maybe for trains or boats models ?... But, only my point of view, it looks like there would be more demands on highly detailed buildings. Good looking victorians manor, New Orlean style house, Skyscraper, Gothic Cathedrals, Modern Art museum, Roman Castle, futuristic factory, french buildings, fantasy tower are more impressives and artistics models and are, perhaps, more interesting for poser's (and other's rendering software) users. Weapons ? There is already a lot of talented modelers specialized in making weapons... one more, for commercial point of view, is, in my opinion, a mistake... Characters ? Sure !!! We're all looking for new characters. A good new character is often the start of a good new scene... :-) Well... as I said before, it's my own opinion. Some will adgree while others could not... I keep in mind that it is for -commercial- purpose of a "well established 3D model company". Some of us will want some plane models, some will backstep for polycount, some will... That's all fols !!! :-) PS : I'm french, so you will excuse the eventuals faults in that message. I hope it is legible...

I'm joining with Erik Shun, but pointing something else... OK, Vue imports really well other 3D models, so we don't "really" need VOB objects... But, what about sharing atmospheres or materials, or even complete (small) scenes ? Here's what newbies (like me) are in need of !!!
Thread: Please help. | Forum: Vue
Well... If that can help you, I had some problem with Vue3 (full release) installed on W2000. It loads ok, but when I tried to create an new landscape, or loading an existing one, it simply crashes. If you're running your computer on W2000 system, this could be the origin of your problem... PS : if there are faults on my message, please, excuse me, I'm french :-)

Great thanks, Tradivoro... The glass texture was a last minute idea... I was not really happy, but my friends said that was cool... looks like they were reason... Thanks, Tesign... For both the images, I used the "final" rendering setting (I'm not really patient on render time...). The grainyness on the temple was expressly wanted (I'm not sure if this is correct english...), but not on leaves. It's not the first time I had the problem with the tree's textures. I made a "ultra" rendering for the paladine, and, even if it's better, the problem's always exist... I will work on this... Varian, a real thank you. I've made as you say (Is this correct ?) and I have posted my pics in the gallery... And I want to say that I visit your site every week for looking things I can steal :-) You make a real good job for all the Vue Community !!! Thank you, Sharen... I make my best, for my pictures... and my english too :-) Can we read your french ? ;-)
