Wow that is one impressive Bryce Flying Scotsman. I made one myself recently (its in the Free Downloads Section its the two tendered version) But it is not as good as this one by a long way. Bryster are you interested in other Steam Trains not just the Scotsman Because I am working on a project to make a Sir Nigel Gersley (its an A4 Pacific) if you are interested let me know and you can have it when it is finished. Pity your weren't up in York this weekend they had they Scotsman original up there but to be honest I can't understand the hype about it because there were trains there that looked much better. There were loads of Trains There Mallard, City of Truro, a Replica of the Puffin Billy and many more. The Rail fest is over now and the scotsman is still not complete.(My Brother Loves Trains his Favourite is the Scotsman)
I am working on Sir Nigel at the moment and it will probably take a few months but you can have it for whatever you need it for if you would like it.

Thread: ot..me in london | Forum: Bryce
Hi Rosie
Londons Great isn't it I did forget west minster abbey and St Pauls Catheadral. Sorry for the late reply I have been working some developers and they don't always let me know what they need. I think my favourite place in London is The Science Mueseum because it has Babbages Difference engines 1 and 2 and his best engine the Analytical Engine which was the first Programmable computer. There are too many places to list really it is fantastic there. You will also Like York and Cornwall they're lovely places too and Woodbridge (Its a small town that never updates but I love it because of that reason.)

Thanks

You Guys might like this space art Forum it is called Solar Voyager it is more than just space art you can talk about as well it has all sort of experts who really know a lot about space and there aren't many bryce artists on the site so they would love your work. I've attached a link to there website (in case your interested). Its free to join which is handy and they often let you know things just as it happens.

Thread: Bryce and MacOsX 10.7:great problem | Forum: Bryce
You guys want to see when Mountain lion comes out I think it is sometime in the summer as a download maybe that will resolve the issues with bryce incompatibility. And You are spot on bromix Bryce was originally a mac only program so they need to sort it out. I personally will not upgrade until I know Mountain Lion is better than both Lion and Snow leopard. There is one option you can use with your mac you can try creating a windows partition so you can use bryce on the mac via windows(although it sort of defeats the object). My Guess Being Mountain Lion will try to resolve the problem I prefered os9 at least it still works(I have one up in my room.)

You Really Like Mars Don't you Bryster
Did you know they actually found life on mars and they boiled it I think it was the Viking Missions back in the 70's. They also found a rock they thought might be a martian but turns out it was not. And there was a meteorite called ALH84001 that hit antartica and they found what looked like mars micro fossils. And although mars is Bigger than Mercury it weighs less than mercury in fact I believe it weighs more than the Earth because its core is made of iron and it is 80% of mercurys mass only about a 20% crust of rock and ice is on the mercurian surface.
I Like Mars as Well But Jupiters my favourite.

Thanks David
Thank you for all the help you and every Bryce Artist for all the help you have given me since I started working in Bryce nearly 5 years ago. think I will definately do what you suggested Because I can't imagine how hard it must be to make faces in bryce using mainly Boolean. I am working on people for a space game called space rambles a guy called free wortley came to Solar Voyager asking for help with space ships and space realated art for the video game he is making and I am making ships, Cockpits, Engines and people. Oh I was meaning to ask do you know the name of the solar system book your work is on I would like to buy it in Cambridge sometime( I live close to Cambridge)

Thread: bryce renders ??? | Forum: Bryce
Hi goofygrmom
(all credit goes to Clay for this one and another user who helped with the PNG file idea unfortunately I can't remember there name(sorry very rude))The best way to do it is this make the shell in bryce and render it as the normal image and then go into render options and select object mask then save that as a seperate file and use a mask channel in Paint Shop pro. Bryce can't make transparent Backgrounds I got this information from Clay who is a fantastic Brycer and he helped me in a big way. Another good way to do so is save the open the object mask invert it and save it as a brush and then open the file for the full version and remove the padlock by the background layer by dragging it to the trash and then make a new layer align the brush with the image and make sure the colour is white(also make sure the render colour is black) and once aligned paint it on it should just fit is and then get the magic wand tool click on the white brush layer then click on the other layer and cut then open a new document make sure you get the size right paste and save as a png file and save with layers as the option(I can't imagine its much different in psp (i use Elements 9.03) I hope that helps but the person who deserves all the credit is clay and the user I mentioned before. so I would like to point that out.
Thanks

Thread: problems animating | Forum: Bryce
When you say Free Version do you Mean Bryce 7 Personal Learning edition or Do you mean Bryce 7.1 Pro? Because the Personal Learning Edition version does not let you animate(or so I have been told) if you delete Bryce 7 PLE assuming you use it then install either Bryce 7.1 Pro or use another version of Bryce. Back up your work and once you save a .br7 file it will not work in lower version of bryce. it will keep saying this message in an endless loop. An object is missing Continue loading without it. and it will not stop unless you force quit bryce.
I would try Reinstalling Bryce Completely get rid of 7 PLE and 7 Pro if you have them and then do a fresh install of the program. I hope that helps a bit (I am not sure of the problem but it might be an idea to do a fresh installation)

Hi Bryster
Thanks thats a great compliment I have always admired your work they would love your work on Solar Voyager as well(its a space art forum).
Hi rashadcarter
Your work is awesome I bet took a long time to learn how to get that good. And thanks for the information I thought it was the light because everytime I used them the render was slower but thats not the case. My work is mostly space ships and Engines and I have to admit they are slow renders does the number of Boolean objects have anything to do with the render slowness because they are not always reflective? (although as you have said I did not always remove the ambience) You are completely right about Bryce 6.3 it has a lot of problems(I know because sometimes when I opened a file it automatically crashed) but it has a plus over Bryce 6.1 and even 7 pro in some cases and that is on an mac you can't import pictures in without it crashing and it has another plus that 6.1 does not have it doesn't kill itself when people use Daz Studio 3 to make models .obj (I read that on wikipedia personally I never use anything other than Bryce 6.3 and Bryce 7.1 Pro)
Thank you for your help and showing me you work and sorry for the late reply I have been unwell.

Thread: Managing polygons. | Forum: Bryce
How much Ram do you have the minimum to run Bryce 7 Pro is at least 1 Gigabyte I have 4 Gigabytes of ram and it works pretty well. Do you own a Windows Computer or a Macintosh pc because Bryce has issues in Mac osx Lion (it will not work) and in snow leopard it will not import pictures so you would need either Bryce 6.3 or Daz Studio to transfer over to the different platforms. Once an image is made into a .br7 file it will not work in lower versions (even 6.3 so use it wisely) What type of Train are you making because I have a free download of the international flying scotsman in Bryce 7 you can use it if you like.
Try dimming the lights a bit if it keeps crashing you can do this by lowering the intensity and specular.
Good Luck

Thread: Managing polygons. | Forum: Bryce
Hi fozzibear
Brysters right you might want to consider another program as Bryce is mainly used as a scene builder and making objects like space craft and engines (which it is fantastic at) take time and lots of Polygons. But Bryce is a easy program to learn a yet takes time to master and is well worth the effort and thinking about it 3d studio max lightwave and other modellers will all have faults of some kind. Heres an idea Compress files you are not using at the moment and delete the originals and unzip when you need them again.
I hope that helps

Thank you both for replying to my message ao quickly and thank you for your help and the documents. I can see from them that a Canon Eos 60D is very different to a Canon Eos 500DÂ
You have helped a lot. Cheers
