Thanks again. Anybody know if there are any utilities that let you compare 2 runtimes and delete any duplicate files from one of those runtimes?

I just realized that maybe I can zip up the fresh runtime first, then do the copy and if things don't work out, hopefully I could just delete everything and unzip the previous runtime and then proceed to re-install as necessary ... I'm using Poser 6. Actually, haven't done much with it, but I hope to do a little something if I can just find the time and energy. Anyway, thanks.

And they have no (real) mouth, and they must scream! ;-) Nonsense. The ones that have huge muscles or huge anti-gravity breasts and/or tiny heads are very proud of them, and those who do not have them are very proud of that. No screaming whatsoever... except for that annoying racket coming out of Jim ... ;*) And I am speaking for the tiny-headed people everywhere! Tiny-headed people unite against these unjust aspersions against us!

yup..I think it's an anthology of short stories, if'n I recollect correctly..;) Sort of. It was originally a short story by Harlan Ellison (a Hugo-award-winning one if I remember right). Though I obviously don't remember all the details, it was, sometime later, adapted to comic format (in 'Heavy Metal'?)and (I think) used as a title for a collection of short stories ... and I don't know what else.

When I saw the title, I thought, 'A Harlan reference? It's gotta be a thinker thread.' Instead, this. Do you have control issues? Then direct them toward something that matters. It's a tired subject. Artsy types do what they do. If you like it, enjoy; if you don't, move on. Who cares? Why should anyone? No offense; just my 2 cents.

The problem you are most likely to run into with Win64 at this point is drivers. It'll likely be a while yet before drivers are stable and, in some cases, even available. Depending on your hardware you may or may not have serious troubles.

jjsemp, XENOPHONZ, how 'bout we let it go? I mean passion can be a very good thing, but why not save it for the ART? And as for CL bashing, I at least was mostly clowning. I only meant to convey that I like Poser 6 a lot, and it is just very frustrating that I can't really use it as effectively as I'd like.

- nickedshield, I wish I could say the same. With 2 gigs ram and a FireGL 128, all I have to do is load 1 Mill figure, apply a texture and do a few lo-res software renders. After about the 3rd render, I can generally forget saving the scene (or doing anything else but exiting the program). I usually will get a nearly out of memory error (which apparently really means I am completely out of memory). The only way I can keep things working most of the time is to reboot after every render. Nice, eh? So when I come across a post (and I have come across a few) claiming that someone has had no trouble with Poser 6), I'm rather flabbergasted. How can that be?
