I agree With Bryster Lights and textures will add a lot to the render time and file size but also the Amount of Boolean Objects you are using will add more to it as well and by the sounds of it you are doing quite complicated and big models. What I suggest you do is make them into different modules and save them as .obp and put them all together once your happy with the results. Also Skies and Clouds will also add a lot to the render time and file size. if you are using Lights have them on a lower setting the brighter they are the slower Bryce will be. Also here is a chart of the render options (basic only I am afraid for a more thorough guide go to youtube David Brinnen has a excellent tutorial on how to play with render options)
here is the link to youtube

and above is the file tutorial

Thread: OTish - For Your Inspiration | Forum: Bryce
Prometheus is a prequel to the original alien film I think the giant alien they found with alien hole in its chest is in this film. And its been done by the original director ridley scott excellent. I prefer the Predator more though he was brilliant The Xenomorph don't stand much of a chance really they have virtually no technology on their side. I think Aliens was best some of the crew in the original were a bit stupid....

Sorry I meant your bug creature your avatar is it reminds me of a Siafu Art they are soldiers and the most nomadic ant on the planet and the male is also known as sausage fly. I do like humorixs ant as well its awesome. I remember when I made alan the alien squid he was a pain to make and i never really got better than him I will have to keep trying. Thanks

Thanks Everyone for answering so quickly
I thought as much making people in bryce is very very difficult I will definately try the Sculptris and makehuman as they sound ideal because Daz Studio 4 was not my cup of tea. I reckon the only way you could physically do it would be a symmetrical lattice (meta balls seem to crash bryce without fail at least on my computer).
Thanks guys thats helped me out a lot

Thread: HELP...with resizing images to fit on rederosity.... | Forum: Photoshop
Assuming you use Photoshop and have a document size limitation try this
open you image in Photoshop and then go to the image tab and choose resize image size and then untick the resample image button and in the resolution put this size in 30000(just the number) pixels per inch then tick resample image and resize to the number you need and choose this option from below Bicubic Sharper (this is best for reduction) and you image should be at is best save it either as a .jpg or even better .png file (I don't know if renderosity accepts .tiff files but if they do use a .tiff as this will make it even better than a .png
Hope that has helped you

Thread: Question about this tutorial for Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
Hi archdruid
Yes there is a big difference and you make a good point but in my view it depends what you use it for Bryce is techinally a scene Builder and I make engines and space craft. I think you can use even use mspaint to do some animations and drawings that are quite impressive. But you are right every program has its limitations I personally don't like inkscape for personal reasons. I will say though I think Gimp is certainly capable of this tutorial if you know enough about how the program works.

Thread: Question about this tutorial for Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
I think it is a definite possibility
you may not get all the features photoshop CS6 has (I use Elements 9) But it all has most of the features. There is another program you might want to try if Gimp won't do what you need and that is called inkscape (personally I don't like it) but a lot of people do and you get some pretty cool effects with it. I am useless at gimp but the interface is more or less the same I have not used it much because I prefer elements. Paint shop pro is also good but a bit slow to use nowadays
I hope this has helped you

Hi Clay
I have a question do you need to pay to put the models on? because I can give you an Flying Scotsman but I don't have a bank account. If you need it you can have it but I would like it if you say I made it in Bryce 6.3 and 7.1 Pro
Thanks
Karl
