Interesting.
I must be a minority of one. I just looked through my v4 runtime. Fully 80% of what I have is "everyday" clothing. Yes, I have swimsuits and undies for her, but that's about as fetish as I go. My own votes with my $ have been for "normal" clothing. If the vendors have to go to fetish to make a buck, they sure ain't makin' it off of me!!! :)

It is a shame that more vendors do not offer everyday clothing. It's tough to find garments for V4 actually living her life. Yet, if you look at the latest release pages here at Rendo, you'd think the girl spends most of her time fulfilling M4's fetish desires. I would suspect that a great everyday package would sell well, but what do I know?
One particular area that is woefully lacking is shoes other than high heels. V4's calves must be killing her. Where are the low heels and flats that most "real" girls wear?
Poserworld does offer a large amount of "regular" clothing, but you have to be ready to add the morphs yourself, as they are always a bit thin. But then, that's what Morcloth is for!!!!

It works perfectly for generating blank second skins, ready for you to texture. I've used it to create bandages and the like with great results.
The support is also top drawer.

Unfortunately, I think you are realizing that not all of the artists are created the same. Some are just better at rigging than others, not to mention the whole issue of "did they include the morphs I really need." (Another rant for another day.)
As to changing the xyz at the hip, I believe you'll find that quite effective. I agree that changing other body parts is not a good idea, but since there are no movement morphs associated with the hip, I believe you'll find it an effective positioning tool, if it's available.
And yes, you are going to have to learn the setup room to reconsile some issues.
One other thought...
In the case of the saddle, could you not position it as you desire, then set the parent figure to the horse, instead of conforming it? It might not be quite as convenient in extreme poses, but ought to at least let you get the effect you want.

Stupid idea, but...
Have you tried moving X-tran at the hip instead of the body? Sometimes that works.
It is also possible to nudge the bones a bit in the setup room if they don't need to be adjusted very much.

I've always thought this was one of the lovelist ladies in my runtime:

Thread: Poser8 and 2 monitors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the pose screen on my second monitor, and Poser remembers to keep it there no problem. The only issue I have is, when I load a scene, it never shows up in the pose window. The thing just blanks out. I have to go to the material room, let the scene appear there, then go back to the pose room and all is well.

I'm one of those fools who has 60 Gigs of runtimes.
Once upon a time, I tried loading all of that stuff into a single runtime to get by the issues that bagginsbill explains with the resourse disconnects and the like. Poser (6, I think it was) crashed mightily, unable to shoulder the load.
Question: Is this fixed in Poser 8? That is to say, is there a limit to the size of a single runtime, or is it still advisable to break them up into smaller runtimes? I see the advantage to the favorites system. It appears to do the same thing I was doing with multiple runtimes for organizational purposes without the pathing errors that seem to creep in with multiple runtimes.
So, will it work? Or do I still need to limit my runtimes to, say, 20,000 items each?

Believable...
The Poser 8 characters lose on your tests. I agree with Claw... Ryan is a disaster and the girl is... so "adequate." I'll stick with the Daz crew, thank you.

Poser has upheld their long and proud tradition of creating the uglist characters possible with their system. But then, who in the group actually bought Poser for the characters? ROFL.

Thread: OT:Why are Poser 7 users interested in Buying Poser 8, didn't they just buy 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My own $.02 is that the differences in the way lighting is handled is a quantum leap. I also find the new render engine to be much faster than either the Poser 7 or Pro 64 versions. Amazing. Everything seems to operate more smoothly even with my extremely bloated set of runtimes. And at $129 it's a steal!
