Thanks, JeffH, It does offer much of what I need, but I keep feeling there may be Camera features & benifits i haven't encountered by fumbling around with them. Wish I'd found a really thorough tutorial. :( Thanks for the suggestion.
Thread: Mike Robe and Mike Jackets (freestuff) - preview | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The robe would be great for a monk/acolyte/wizard char in a fantasy render. Reminds me of the robe worn by the Lurch-looking android (I think it was Ted Cassidy played the android & Lurch, too, as I recall) in one episode of the original Star Trek. The possibilities, the possibilities . . . :)
Thread: Still another question - re; Poser props/buildings | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can see I should have composed my original post a little more completely. Yes, the materials do render ok, but i was trying to convey that the affected areas flicker in & out of visibility from second to second, depending on the angle, as I move the cameras viewpoint. I find this to be confusing behavior, as some materials do it, & others in the same model don't. If there's nothing to be done, I'm sure I can live with it, but would still wish to understand it better. :) I've had experience adjusting the normals when importing 3D files, where I've seen really weird behavior by imported surfaces. I'm grateful to ENGELKEN for the tip about using the grouping tool to try and adjust existing poser files; I'll try that tonight! Ditto Cybermonk's suggestion on Objaction Twoface. lalverson,X2000,Huolong,I want to thank you all for your insights into the question. I confess a frustrating problem seems lighter when others are willing to give their time and attention to it! Many thanks!

Wonderful work! Even without fancy textures they look incredible! The robe, especially looks like it will work for many projects. Any chance of a hooded variation later? (Said the greedy one, sneakily) ;) You have a Wonderful talent!

Something you might try; Try importing the PNG as a background (if it won't load directly, convert it with a utility like the Free image manager Irfanview32), load the object, prop, whatever, & move it off-view. than re-save the file. the background, being the only thing in the view, should become the RSR view. Good Luck!

Sorry, I hadn't realized. Try this link on PropsGuild. There's also a couple of ripleys there, on Pg10, & (I think) Pg22. - Careful, though, it's a HUGE download! Loads slowly in Poser, too. http://www.propsguild.com/thumbs/Characters/page10.htm While you're there, poke around a bit - TONS of really good files - Also chk the links to associated sites like PoserWorld, etc. - Subscription well worth it!

Thread: Praise for vendors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
At the risk of contributing to a Renderosity Vendor Admiration Society, I have to say I second the Kudos. I've bought $400-500.00 worth of Poser products from the Renderosity Marketplace, & sites that use this forum to announce & develop their products. I would have to single out Deimos & lalverson, for offering free premiums to their customers, George Deep for giving MegaMike purchasers special attention, & personal messages & eager responses to communications from their customers from LordsWarrior, 3DMenagerie, David Howard, and especially the incredibly responsive & patient Sharon at SAMS3D! These are just the ones that come immediately to mind, but if anyone is considering ordering from any of these, I can say they have my endorsment for being truely class acts, & professional in the best sense of the word! (This is not to belittle the quality of the products I've gotten from others, I'm only singling out those whom I've had contact with beyond the product itself.) leather-guy
