Short, test, full-length animation--the more the merrier! Actually, funny that you responded with these links, Maxxxmodelz: your Diane Lighting Test (that I saw in an earlier thread) is what prompted me to post my original message: even at a few seconds, it's about as nice a piece as I've seen posted anywhere that really shows the potential power of Poser, and I have to believe that there is other good stuff out there. I hope others will share as well. And I'll echo Zulu9812--Poser (and Daz) have such potential--you can do some really nice stuff, but they don't make it easy. Thanks--T

Thanks--works great! I couldn't find this in the P5 manual--I think they're hiding it.--T

Thanks for the tip on the graph editor, DaleB. I can see how it would help, however, I'm having no luck finding the tutorial you're talking about--could you point me there if you have a second? Barring that, is there a way to select multiple points in the graph editor, that is, can I select the entire curve and move the whole thing down? Thanks--T

I downloaded the Stanford bvh motions, and there are a lot, but when I use them with V3, the shoulders/collars are all "hunched up" on the model (as well as the figure standing below the "floor"). Does anybody know an easy fix for this? Thanks--T

Thanks, I'll give the ray depth tweak a try when I get home. Man, I should have asked you guys earlier--I spent half my day off yesterday messing with this! As for the Interposer plugin, I was looking at that and it looks pretty cool--I've heard good things. The only thing I'm not sure I understand is about the file sizes I'd be dealing with. On a quick test where I output a clothed Victoria model animation as multiple obj files, each file was 8.5MB--does that really mean that it would take 15GB per minute of animation per figure? Thanks
Thread: Poser/Daz import/export | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, Aeneas. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as bjergtrold--I'm looking for an animation solution for Cinema 4D, in my case for MacOSX. I think Poser/Daz has great potential for animation, but , tho you can get some pretty good-looking animation with Poser/Daz/C4D, it's so hard that it's just not worth it after a while. I actually gave up on an animation I spent months on, even thought I was pleased with how it was coming out, because it just so damn hard.

(laughing) Thanks Questor, I'll be first (or second) in line for that jack. I am really talking about animation, not just posing and shooting--I think there's real potential for the Daz models for animation. Thanks for a little insight into the history and issues. I hope you're right about Daz making making some filters for us!
Thread: Reduce file size (V3 Inj morphs)? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great--thanks to all--things are much clearer to me now. I guess my biggest problem was that I was under the mistaken impression that the morphs would only add to the file size if you actually used them, but I now understand that they're loaded into the file whether you fiddle with the knob or not. (Newbie mistake, I know.) Thanks for setting me straight.
