Thread: Snarly's scripts | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's really strange. No idea what could have made everything go so crazy.
Basically, 3.1 was the last Snarlygribbly update to get EZSkin working in Poser 12
3.2 is the further updated version by Y-Phil that is still being maintained and also has extra fixes like 3rd party shaders updated to also keep them working in newer version of Poser.

Thread: Is poser 13 good for animtion ? | Forum: Poser 13
I don't do a lot of animation, I more set it all up and use each frame as a sprite for my game. But my intro is animated so you can see it all come together in this vidย https://youtu.be/ohxGSV6XRtg?si=8WhXYv5GU0Zkedtg

I donโt think youโll have to worry about them charging for Studio since they already tried that. DAZ Studio 3 Advanced was their paid version that they locked features like 64-Bit support behind. Was a flop and itโs all free since then. Thatโs how DAZ burnt me, that much needed 64-Bit was coming soon for the Mac version and they never released it. So donโt know what the heck I paid for in the end.Who knows how long DAZ can support development without charging for Studio or overcharging for content, skimpware can only take you so far.

Thread: Slight concerns about Poser 13 bugginess and no more service releases ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Don't get me wrong. I'll probably buy Poser 14 (have brought them all since Poser Debut), but I too hope any outstanding bugs with Poser 13 still get fixed rather than having to buy the next version for those fixes.
As for the screen recording on Mac, I had the same, even though I did give it permission. I found that re-adding Poser to the Screen & System Audio Recording has fixed it from asking.

Thread: Poser 14? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser 14 already? I saw the newsletter mention this to my disbelief as I only got Poser 13 near the end of last year.
Oh well, as long as a displacement for Poser Surface nodes and Physical nodes are all good in a Poser 13 update sometime soon, I won't complain. It's not like I'm being forced to buy every Poser version... it has just worked out that way so far.

Thread: Poser 13 Firefly Render Different From Poser 12 | Forum: Poser 13
You may still have the renders saved. If you select Window > Recent Renders, if they are there you can still export and upload them.

Youโll be able to run Poser 11 & 12 fine on a M1/M2 Mac provided you donโt upgrade to macOS 14.

Unfortunately, those older versions of Poser were released by Smith Micro who no longer own or support them. https://my.smithmicro.com/
Bondware (Renderosity) own and support Poser 11.2 onwards and those can be redownloaded via https://www.posersoftware.com/downloads
Outside of that, Smith Micro does advise you to create a ticket https://support.posersoftware.com/, so you could always try and ask if they still have older installers for those old Smith Micro releases. How well they will work or if they will continue to work however is a different matter entirely.

Thread: UI Gone Crazy! Won't reset to factory settings | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Yeah, this is the same as reported at https://www.renderosity.com/forums/threads/2982891/poser-12-and-sonoma-140#msg4475553
MacOS 14 has killed Poser 11 & 12 (the interface at least)
Poser 13 got by unscathed thanks to the move to Metal.

Thread: I am the most questions asked, I know. reflections on human skin | Forum: Poser 13
Thanks for taking a look into the settings, but I think some things just render very differently in Poser 13. It looks like your settings have calmed the result a bit. But you'll notice it in your render too, if we use BB Hair shader, Poser 13 will give the hair random white glows in strange places.
As for the Superfly shader and Aether hair MAT 2 turning orange. I just tested it in Poser 11. Looks like that has always been the case, possibly why I didn't go with it back then.

You can apply it using EZSkin no problem, it's more of how Poser 13 handles the shader.
If I use my example from earlier.
The exact same scene rendered using SuperFly in Poser 11 & 13. With how it renders in Poser 13, that's why I've tried to find a replacement.

All happy on the skin side of things, but I have to say I'm missing being able to just apply BB Hair Shader by AP ever since upgrading to Poser 13.
So doing a bunch of testing with hair to find what I'll use as a replacement going forward. Here are my tests I'm selecting from.
I think I'm leaning into still using EZSkin, and was thinking of going with the SuperFly shader... but when it came to Aether Hair that one of my main characters use, this...
Turned into this

Thread: The Hair Revolution - Ghostship Hair Shader System | Forum: Poser 12
Thank you for the tips about bump strength.
After playing around with it, I guess it isn't the level of shine I'm having the issue with, but more with how it is being applied.
The blue highlighted areas have such intense shine from the rest of the hair. I don't suppose I can somehow increase the bump for just these parts.
Then the highlighted green section changes so abruptly between dull & shiny like this. Anything I can do short of changing the lighting? I don't really want to change the lights as I'm happy with how everything else is looking besides the hair, and moving/changing the lights would change all of that too.
