**Sorry you did that!  I'm going to miss those wonderful balloons, and all the exotic places to which they've transported us over the years.  Congrats on the Symposium, sounds to me like it was a smashing success. 

Do not underestimate your talent, nor the power your artwork may have on the imaginations of others!  I think many of the great minds in the world's space programs (and other careers) have found their inspiration from the work of science fiction and fantasy illustrators such as yourself.  You have a marvelous imagination and also the gift of expressing it incredibly well in the visual media.

**danob is right, all may not be lost!  I would also mention, try to avoid downloading  files until you have recovered your lost image files.  Two years ago my laptop crashed, making the the contents of my hard drive (including all my photos and graphics) inaccessible.  The Geek Squad was able to recover to CD-R nearly 100% of my image files intact.  There is special utility software to allow recovery of deleted files, so long as those physical areas of your hard disk have not been overwritten in the meanwhile.

That's good information, Jock.  The current system certainly does seem less than equitable, and I'm sure most folks are unaware of it.  Thank you for sharing!
