I totally agree with Dixie... and I am saying goodbye as well because this time they crossed the red line.
Everything now looks like a cheap Flickr knock off... a tiled horror... nonfunctional and terrible to use / browse for PC users.
But the designers made a big mistake and forgot that the creators of 2d and 3d images use desktop PCs to make art, not tablets and smartphones.
For the moment I will keep my freebies here, but in the future maybe I will move to some other site.

The new layout is a complete disaster. A tiled horror, ugly and nonfunctional.
Looks like a very badly done phone app. I am not sure I will keep visiting this site on a regular basis.

Quote - - Most importantly, please bring back the ability to mouse-over a thumbnail to bring up the stats on that image (views, comments, etc.). The new "eye button" is much less efficient. - There is a lot of wasted space on the page where an image is displayed; the previous design was much more efficient, requiring much less scrolling to get to the comment section.
-The comment section is much harder to visually scan. Before, the commenter's name was displayed below his avatar; now they are separated. And again, there is just way too much space between sections, between comments, etc
I totally agree... the previous gallery was better.
More efficient and pleasant to see.
This design has lot of wasted space (the comments boxes are huge) and now I have the not-so-cool feeling to browse Tumblr. Not my intention to be rude, but I hope its NOT a change made to meet the requirements of tablets and smartphones. Lately a lot of sites are jumping on that bandwagon... LOL
Greetings and regards, Mike.
Thread: Renderosity homepage not appearing as first result on Google | Forum: Community Center
Thanks, Caty.
This must be a recent issue, because 24 hours ago (Tuesday April the 8) the homepage of Renderosity was the very first result... and the Marketplace the second or third. It happens only with Google.
With Bing the homepage is still the first result.
Odd indeed.
Thread: Renderosity homepage not appearing as first result on Google | Forum: Community Center
Yes... the first result is an AD/sponsored.
(I have AdBlocker, by the way)
But if you look at the "normal" search results it doesn't show the homepage as first.
Until yesterday it was the very first result in all the three browsers... so I think it depends on meta / tags.

Not sure if its a "BUG"But since yesterday (April 9) I noticed that when I search for "Renderosity" on Google, the homepage doesn't appear as first result. And its not even in the first 5 or 10.
Maybe there is some problem with the tags / search engine optimization?
Screenshots (with 3 different browsers) in the thread I created (link).

What about to use a color scheme like the one used in 2008-2009-2010 ?

It was eye-friendly, functional and elegant.
People loved it... more than the blue one introduced in 2011.

Quote - this was the best design, IMHO....remember?
Yes! Renderosity in 2008-2009-2010 looked great!
That layout was very functional and the style was elegant; I loved it! Other sites (DeviantArt, for instance) can make little tweaks once in a while... but the interface and the color scheme never changed too dramatically...
