Thread: Help a Newbie! Texture Problems ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, I have Victoria 1 and I don't seem to have that morph target. hwrad2112 wants to apply a different texture. If that morph is used, will the eyebrows from the new texture file be visible? And there is still the problem of the lips.

I see that my indentations and comments between arrow symbols were lost when I posted my last reply. So, it should be: Materials/Object/Figure x (select your Vicki figure) Materials/Material/Eybrows Materials/Texture/(your texture file)
Thread: is poser a professional tool ? | Forum: Poser Technical
I have created illustrations with Poser that I used in technical manuals and in marketing brochures. I also used CorelDraw, CorelPaint, Adobe FrameMaker, and many other tools. That was 3 years ago and I was making $30/hour at the time. Cost doesn't determine whether it is professional. If professionals use it is what determines if it is professional. It doesn't matter what it costs, if it can do what you need. IMHO.

Go to Materials Object Figure x (select your Vicki figure) Material Eyebrows Texture Load Then repeat for Material Lips, etc. I hope this helps, Ericroy

You need to assign the new head texture to the eyebrows (Vicky uses a different tex file for the head). Also, be sure that the eyebrow color is set to white. I hope this helps, Ericroy

If you are responding to what I said, I'm not sure I understand. My P4/PPP content is in a different runtime folder than the stuff that comes with P5. My poser5 has 2 runtime directories: ..Curious Labs/Runtime/ and ..Curious Labs/Downloads/Runtime/. I installed my P4/PPP stuff in the latter. If you need to reinstall P5, everything in the ..Curious Labs/Runtime/ folder will be lost, but the stuff in ..Curious Labs/Downloads/Runtime/ will be preserved. Anyway, this seems to work for me. All of the P4 and P5 files are accessible from P5.

In my opinion, a true "professional" will use whatever tools are necessary to satisfactorily complete the job. Sometimes a simple or less expensive tool is the right choice. If possible, use whatever works best for you.

After I installed Poser5, I copied the Geometries, Libraries, Reflection Maps, and Textures folders from my Poser4/Pro-Pack Runtime directory to the Poser5 Downloads/Runtime directory. Everything seems to work. A lot of the stock stuff is duplicated, but at least things work and I can access all of my old stuff and the P5 stuff from P5. Someday I'll delete the duplicates.
Thread: please help - postwork for rendering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In poser, I always create full-frame, uncompressed, half resolution animations. The compression software slows the rendering process terribly and the result looks awful. When I get a good animation and it need a smaller file size, I use a different software to compress it (like RAD Video Tools http://www.radgametools.com/). I hope this helps, Ericroy

Have you tried editing the animation graphs? You click on the key-shaped icon at the lower right side of the screen, on the animation tool bar to open the animation keyframe window. Then, click on the arrow next to the figure or element you want to edit. Then double click on the thing that is giving you trouble... probably the hip or body Y-tran. Then you will see the animation graph. You can edit the graph directly, but you may need to change from spine interpolation to linear or constant. Animating in Poser can be frustrating, but it is fun. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: in what way I can change camera and to see the change of camera in the preview. | Forum: Poser Technical
You can not change cameras during an animation. You can move the camera you start with, but you can't change to another camera. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Texture issues, please help! | Forum: Poser Technical
I have had similar problems. I haven't tried many mat poses, so I'm not sure how they are supposed to work, I guess. This is what happened to me. When I applied the mat pose, the body parts that were effected were listed under the Render/Materials/Object list under the figure. So besides having Figure 1 (in the Render/Materials/Objects list) with skin, etc in the Render/Materials/Material list; I also had Hip, Thigh, Shin, etc (in the Render/Materials/Objects list) each with all of the materials (like skin, etc) in the Render/Materials/Material list. Changing texture for the Figure no longer had any effect. I had to change it for each body part that now appeared in the Object list. This isn't really a solution, but it may be what happened to you customer. I hope this helps a little. It's a bit hard to describe. Ericroy
Thread: Funky Dials. Need help | Forum: Poser Technical
Someone in the chat room had the exact same problem a few weeks ago. At that time, I suggested the same things that Jaager suggests. However, that wasn't the solution. I'm sorry that I don't remember the solution. I thought it was to reinstall Poser, but it sounds like you've done that. All I'm contributing here is that someone else has had that problem, and a solution exists. I wish I could offer more. Ericroy
