Richard (RHaseltine) should be able to explain the fix (since he's the one who corrected the issue). The explanation he gave me is that he 'splitted the concave quads that caused the problem into two triangles each' in Lightwave.

Excelent pictures. You should post them in the galleries, they would reach more people. Looking forward to seeing more. Evanara

There is an insane number of books in the Victorian Library if you load all shelves. The idea would be to fill only the shelves you need (that's why there is a book stack ready for each shelves, you just add those you want to see).
I would suggest setting up your scene without the books, then add thoses needed (shelves are numbered clockwise from left to right so you can select the right props from the library).
Hiding the books could help but won't free the memory they use .

One way to have a whole forest for the price of a few poligons is to use a plane and apply a tree texture to it, with the appropriate transparency map. You could take a 3D tree, do a number of renders of it from various angles, each time saving the render and the alpha channel (save as TIF and you'll get both. You can then easily separate the 2 in a paint program). You then create a simple plane and load the textures to get a flat tree that you can put anywhere. You can do this with just about anything (houses, cars, furniture,...) and place these in the background at a very low cost.

Based on DAZ's site, it seems the 2 outfit are texture compatible (it's at the bottom of the list of features for the S3 version).
Thread: Product Called "Fantasy" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Fantasy part refers to the theme of the picture (if you're looking in the galleries), not to a particular tool. The Poser part does indicate the picture was mostly created with Poser.

The various items under Group are the object's components. You can indeed map them separately (create a new map for each) but you can also create new groups by selecting some items ,'create a new group' then map the group. You should check the tutorials at uvmapper.com for a step by step explanation. The tricky part, I guess , will be to identify with item is what in the original object. Creating the texture mapping isn't that difficult, but can take some time depending on the object's complexity.

In UVMapper, can you check what is listed when you use the Select by Group and by Material (under Tools) items of the Edit Menu ? If there is something listed 'by Material' that you don't find from within Poser, you can 'Assign by Material' for each one (Edit menu agin), give each material a new name then save the new OBJ and import it in Poser. You should be able to see each material zone in Poser and assign materials to them. If there are no items that you can select, you'll need to create a new Map (Edit Menu still).

You can find a free version of the UVMapper utility here: http://www.uvmapper.com/ (get the Clasic version). Start the program, load one of the objects by using the File/Load model menu and wait until the object is loaded (won't take long). If the object is mapped, the texture template will be displayed. you can then export this template, load it in a picture editing package (like Paint Shop or Photoshop) and use the template as a guide to make a texture for the object. If the object isn't mapped, UVMapper will indicate it. It will allow you to create a new map (there are tutorials here , I believe).

You could try to load the OBJs in the UVMapper utility. If there are UV coordinates, you'll get a texture template that you can then use to make a proper texture for the objects. Based on the promo picture, it should be possible to give different textures to the elements.
Thread: Import Poser to Max | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Max Import Plugin came with Pro Pack and only support that version (ie.Poser 5 and 6 specific functionalities like dynamic clothes or hair aren't supported).
