I appreciate it Spanki. I tried this a year ago with version 8.1 and not sure which Riptide I downloaded. I'm still using 8.1. You were equally concerned then as you are now and I thank you for it.
That's very impressive to me that you made this software and equally commendable that you give it away free with care, concern, and technical support.
Doesn't Poser, once the obj is filtered, (in and out) make it it's own anyways. I notice how the numbers change drastically within the obj after a Poser filtering?

In Cinema 4D: So if I had a head with inner mouth as one group, I highlighted those polygons and split them from the group and named that innermouth, and went back to original group and deleted those same polygons for innermouth, Poser might have a problem with this? Even though the groups are touching but completely separate?

That IS the one!! Good job!! Material zones and groups, I thought of them as the same. I have so much to learn!
But if the Cinema export heirarchy has no bearing on how the object appears, how could it change the object right after switching them? The Poser filtered object was opened in Cinema and Tail 2 and Tail 8 were put in order in the list, that fixed it.
Riptide has been tried but always crashes my Cinema for some reason. I can see if the object has reversed normals because the needles when the polygon is selected will face out if it's normal and face in if reversed.
So the problem is actually solved now. I fixed it by switching the order in Cinema.

I set the groups up in Cinema 4d, I did a heirarchy there but it didn't carry over. So I pulled all the group parts in one long list.  As it would happen Tail 2 and Tail 8 were out of order from top to bottom, and this somehow carried over into PHI builder. The parts actually switched names because tail2 was tail 8 but the hierarchy still applied, rotating tail 7 would rotate tail 8 which was down where tail 2 was.
The tut I found was for rigging mostly outside poser which I liked the sound of. In order for his Mapper program to work it needed an mtl. In and out of Poser was the suggestion. Not sure why but he said to do it.

No problem on not seeing and thanks for the tip. I did do what you said. It still did the weird switcheroo dealy. So it was not the Cr2 but the object. Â
Cinema 4D had them listed in a certain order which I didn't think mattered since I was using PHI just after. But it did matter.Â
Thread: Distribution of Jessi Morphs? | Forum: Poser Technical
But you said A pz2. I have 2 of them. The one that activates all the embedded info in the pmd. And another pz2 to turn on that pz2. It's not supposed to go down like that is it?
Thread: Distribution of Jessi Morphs? | Forum: Poser Technical
It was quite simple too. The thing is. All the morphs and a FBM was made then saved to library. Then that PMD was there too. When I did the simple inj pointing to the PMD the dials were all turned off. So I did his secondary thingy. I had to make a pz2, 2 of them actually, One to point at the second pz2, then to the pmd, so the menu will contain an extra file that doesn't do anything but help the file function. The 2nd pz2 is like the old ones basically turning everything on. But I couldn't use it by itself, or at least I couldn't figure out how. Even with targeting the pmd for the morph data along with the necessary pz2info. Confused?

Yes, they should look identical if you do it. As long as you keep your render size relevant to the texture size.

Here's my take. Of coarse the textures are distributed at high res like that for close and far renders alike. You can get right up on her eyeball and the skin around it will look sharp and clear. Now if you plan to do renders, much smaller than that all of the time, and you notice your computer going much faster with smaller textures then by all means do it. Open up a 2d Program. Open the Textures and Bump maps and reduce the image size by half or even more than half. If it's at 3000x1500 for the face, you could go 1500x1250 or even 1000px on the width. Try the save for web if you have it and keep it high, 80% or higher. Compression of jpeg helps but it uncompresses when it's used so your pixels will make the most difference. Keep your zip handy or make 2 folders for textures. Go into your runtime/textures folder and just rename your lo texture folder the same name and the hi-res folder, you could delete and re-install it later or just rename it for now. All the pathways in the mat files will still point to the lo res files of the same name. And you really won't notice a difference in render quality. I guarantee it.

Yes, there is a lot of trash to sift through. Painted bodies with a fill brush and maybe a wellplaced .psd tatoo. Then name it MonkeyGothpoomongerfella. See if it sells for $5. But keep in mind that they are entitled to do as they wish. Hopefully, eventually, they can discriminate on what they want to release and they learn that quality will sell more items for them. The trash eventually sifts to the bottom. Take the good with the bad and appreciate those that deserve it. Getting mad will only frustrate you. Concentrate on what improves you and not what can improve others. For you are the only one that you have control over. ;-) Valid point.

No, you didn't discourage me. You are right though about taking your time. There are just so many facets to doing this that if you don't take the time in-between steps, you might just grab your monitor and ram your head into it. Lots of revisiting. Days and days of tweaking this or that. As you might be able to see above, I am comfortable with texturing. Morphing isn't too bad neither. It's just the whole kitten kaboodle will take months to get comfortable with. By then, hopefully there will be the magic wand software designed to create characters with 5 clicks. ;-) Lord help us. ;-) Thanks for the concern. I'm going to read BL renders book cover to cover. And I will still ask you guys questions too. TTYS

My many thanks to you for the compliment. I just wish the model was better. His bending with those big muscles is discouraging. There is just so much I don't like.
