Excellent. Thanks a lot Hoofdcommissaris. Much better. I thought it might be something simple. Nice one
Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someone's neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing?

Thanks everyone for your reply's. That certainly puts my mind at ease (& my wallet). Thanks MarianneR for the tutorial link, I have a few dodgy haircuts that may need the firefly fix. I'm waiting (rather impatiently like a little child) for Poser5 to arrive now. Thanks again, Grav

I could be wrong but I think one of the reasons the Carrara community can be a little less active than others on Renderosity is because many Carrara users are professional illustrators or designers that use Carrara as a tool & are quite frankly a little busy most of the time, unlike the Poser community for example that is largely made up of hobbyists. I think Renderosity's Carrara community is great, I often check it several times a week & find it extremely helpful. I think you've been doing a great job. Thanks Kix for all your good work. Grav.

Thanks, This makes it all nice & simple, running Grouper on a Mac in virtual PC is a pain in the virtual A**. Because of the Macs handy Print-to-PDF feature I have saved this as PDF. Cheers, Grav.

Oh dont get me wrong, I never download anyones art (no reason to).
I was just checking if it was a Safari problem as it is the fastest growing browser on the Apple market.

I tried to download a gallery image to see if it worked & I got a file not found error message, wierd. Is it a Mac or Safari thing? (I'm not switching back to IE because lifes too short waiting for that browser to load a page). Ive never had that trouble with any other site before. Oh well, I guess thats one of the many price's that have to payed for being alternative.

One mans art is another mans garbage. But I do see what you mean. like many community's in life, success is more to do with popularity than content (school, work, politics, music, the media...you catch my drift). Unfortunately, I've always been in with the out crowd. I believe It's more important to be happy with your work & sincere about others than it is to indulge in friendly backslapping.

Thread: carrara vs. bryce | Forum: Carrara
The best thing that ever happened to me render-wise was Corel ceasing support for Bryce on the Mac, It forced me to concentrate on rendering in Carrara which is far superior in quality, versatility & speed (I can feel myself physically ageing while waiting for a Bryce render).
Now I simply use Bryce for creating backdrops or exporting the odd terrain, to go back to doing any kind of modelling in Bryce would be sheer folly. There's nothing worse than exporting a model to Bryce, texturing it, setting up the camera & then realising that your not able to tweak or adjust it with any kind of modeling tools.
Carrara seems to me to be the complete package for my illustrations now, but Bryce still remains a good little tool to have on my Mac.

I've been running Carrara 2 on a 400mhz G4 (OSX) for some time now & it runs great. I'm now running the Carrara 3 beta, it is much faster & has infinitly better rendering speeds. Good luck, youll love it.
