Thread: Goldy Tutorial Poser5 Help Required | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, thank you all.
I was confident Geep was right. However, you provided the sledgehammer clarification I needed, and you were also correct.
Although clearly stated, I DID NOT change to the Setup Room from the Pose Room.
In the Setup Room, ONLY the Single check mark is available in the Library.
The skeleton is in place, and I saved the file.
Now, I must tend to the fact the wine, pasta and tomato sauce levels in my blood stream are dropping dangerously low. :-)
Thank you all very much for dropping the proper shoe, the proper number of times.
I used to belong to a Speaker's Bureau. I remember one of the cardinal rules was, "Tell 'em! Tell 'em what you told 'em! Then, tell 'em again!" :-)
Again Much thanx. Obviously, I couldn't have done it without you.

Chapter 12/Example 2/Page71/Step 4 of the Poser 5 printed manual print or page 84 in PDF. You will find this also quoted in my first post on this subject.
I have since determined to my satisfaction, the single check mark is never displayed until you LOAD something from the library and when you load something, you load it all.
As an experiment, I decided to proceed with what I got. At the end, the only thing I could pose was the default man. Goldy is still without a skeletal control.
At no time, did I see anything that would suggest a skeleton or see an opportunity for skeletal modification. The default man is fully clothed.
Again, thank you for your continued interest.

Thanks for your interest.
I guess I worded my post badly.
Let me try to be clearer.
Before or after selecting Default Guy, there is NO single check mark displayed in the Library window, until I LOAD Default Guy on top of Goldy.
Even if I buy that setup mess, and then select the NOW AVAILABLE single check mark, I can find NO option to load, modify tease out, or display the skeleton.

Thread: Unable to animate a rendered model - Poser5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi-
Well, thank you Little Dragon & PhilC.
Setting the tracking was the trick. Not mentioned in the tutorial, of course.
I was also able to discover one other requirement which wasn't documented. The correct figure must be chosen. At one point, I had her bikini top walking and the model responding out of sync. When I selected the model, the halter top came into sync.
Thanks to you all, I've successfuly finished the first portion of the Poser5 Tutorial and I can complete my annotated entries for the entry level tutorial.
Thank you. That includes the people who helped me before I asked this question.

Thread: Poser tutorial How To Make Upturned Hand | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I want to thank you all for the input.
I thought that the arm was a better move than the hand but I wasn't sure how to get it going.
However, I'm in the catbird seat now. :-)
I've also added another gloss to the annotated manual I'm writing as I go. :-)
Hope I can keep the pleas for help to small bites.

Thread: Poser5 Manual - 3 pages reviewed, annotated & Corrected. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, Qualien- I didn't really expect anyone to pick up on this nasty little exercise. But, thanks for the laughs and the interest. I suppose by the time I understand it, I will have probably written enough to be complete another manual.
If nothing else, I think documenting the sticky areas, will come in handy for me as there are large chunks I will have to use the tutorial for when I decide to do something orginal.
Also, thank you dr geep for the tutorial. As soon as some of the extreme pressure leaks out of my head, your tutorial is going to be my next stop. Thank you all very much.

ArtyMotion-
Thank you very much. You advice was flawless.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have discovered that on my own. Even though the manual seems to think so. :-)
Thank you again - Jim.
Thread: Poser5 vs DAZ Studio | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Grey Tower Both of your software suggestions look like excellent tools to have. Group looks as if it could be very helpful. I would like to compliment all of you on the clarity of your responses. I'm impressed, I've been in some other forums from time to time, an animation forum particularly comes to mind. It was much different, the members had their heart in the right place, but they couldn't read, write, or communicate anything. :-) Thank you all again, this has been great. :-) I'm going to have to copy thess responses out and save them Jim

Wow. Thanks John for the orientation. I checked out the pic you made, and I would hope I could do that well at some future point. I can see that Poser5 could make my graphics life a bit easier. Aslo from what you said and others, I am beginning to see there isn't ONE program, bits are done in different progs and then brought together. I suppose, compromising a bit along the way. That's rather how I am operating, but I'm so new at it, I felt I was just missing some important steps/facts. I should also extend my thanks to Martian Manhunter and Aneas who have provided me with some excellent insights. Thank you All - Jim

John- Thanks for the info. Could you go a little further? You used the word "scene." Just how much (which parts) of the "scene," did you compose in P5? And of course, just which parts did you do in Bryce? Thanks - Jim
