Maybe an option to have no figurehead, just a blank prow, in addition to the others? That would make it easier to postwork something in, and would make it possible to use another figure/prop if you need a specific figure. (Skeleton, dragon head, seahorse, whatever.)

My suggestion would be to consider doing a set for H.E.R. as well. The base figure is free over at Sixus1, and any of the girls can always use more casual clothes. So can the male figures, for that matter. :) As far as texture suggestions, the only sandals I've seen like these were a pair my mom wore when I was little. The toe strap was leather, and the sole of the sandal was polished wood, with (I think) a thin rubber tread glued on the underside where it would touch the ground. The leather strap would have had a buckle on it, but it would probably look ok as just a single plain leather strap as well.

Hmmm. I guess you couldn't call this one Irwin... How about Steve? Kithdraken Saurus Sapien Bob. Ok, I'm kidding about that one. :) The Swamp Beast - for continuity with your Sea Beast figure. El Lagarto (Spanish, The Lizard.) Lagarto Muerto (Lizard Death)

Will there be a version without the fin-things on the tail? The head, arms, and upper torso look very nice, but the tail looks like something that should only be able to move underwater. Or is there a mat/mor pose to hide the fins? Other than that, it's a great looking figure.

There's also Curio's Majestic Dragon, I think it's still lurking around the marketplace here somewhere. I have that one as well and like it a lot. Plus there are several Oriental Dragons available from various places - There's the SS Oriental Dragon over at PoserPros I think, and Valandar has Shien Lung here in the marketplace. And I think Daz still has a Sea Serpent that they're brokering, plus their own Sea Dragon.

Beholder is already taken too, more or less. That's the name for the Dungeons and Dragons eyeball monster. I don't know if WOTC has the name locked down or not, but it's probably better not to risk it. If we're allowed more than one name, I'd also like to add; Winky, Winkin, Blinkin, The Watcher, and Oculus.

I was counting the Mantis and Baby Greys in the "other alien critters" category, and I don't count morphs, since those require that you purchase a seperate figure. Morphs are a bonus for someone who has a given figure, and a waste otherwise. I hadn't read the product description of Ena, from the thumbnail I though she/it looked more like an elf of some kind. I wasn't aware of Isacc's Grey. :) The ones I was thinking of were True Greys - Sixus1 Grey, and RDNA Grayling. Alien Critters - Sixus1 Mantis Grey and Baby Grey and (debatably) Flayer, the Spider Drone available here at Rendo, and arguably, the Thrawn, also here. (It looks something like the Gonarch from the game Half Life, which is an alien monster of sorts.) You might also be able to shoehorn in the Sixus1/Fatalle Bob Eater, since the Mantis Grey is supposed to be meant as a Grey/Bob Eater hybrid. Even so, that's still nowhere near the number of Poser Babes available. Granted, there's probably a much smaller market for any figures that don't come with cleavage. :) In any case, I do like your alien. :) Let us know what you decide to do with it.
Thread: Animation: Pilot of russian historical music-project | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
I'm hardly a famous competent anything, but I watched through the animation a few times, and I can offer some observations if you like. Also, I don't speak any Russian, and I'm not very familiar with the history or folklore the animation is based on, so I'll stick to the animation itself.
First, I think their hair is too flowing and bouncy. It looks less like hair, and more like a fluid. You might consider making it a little stiffer along the length of the hair, and especially near the scalp, if your rendering engine supports it.
Second, the man in the white chainmail appears to be the one singing, but he doesn't look like he's singing. I've seen a little bit of opera, and when those preformers sing, their whole body gets into it. For example, the scene where he is sitting at the table and raising the drinking horn as he sings. In the animation, he raises the cup and his jaw moves up and down in time to the words, and that's about it. Consider tweaking the animation so that he uses more of his face - if you can, works some more expression and emotion in, get the corners of his mouth and his eyes involved. There are a few phrases in the song at that point where the singer is quite forceful - have the man express that as well. It actually takes effort to sing like that, at least, opera singers make it look that way. On the forceful parts, he should be tilting his head back, thrusting his chest out when he inhales, thrusting the cup forward as he sings. The song sounds forceful and important, he should look forceful and important. He should not look like the Abraham Lincoln robot at Disneyland. :)
Third, some of the camera work is a little confusing. There are several scenes where the camera pans around the table where all the swords and shields are piled up, and watching it, I have no idea why. There's also a point, at about 4:50 where the camera pans in on the minstrel twice. The first time the camera clips through his hand and harp to focus on (I think) the insignia on his tunic. The second time it does more or less the same thing, but it looks like it's colliding with something again on the way there. And at the end, where they start dancing, there are numerous scenes where the camera looks almost straight up or down and spins rapidly, or pans in and out as it orbits around a central point. Visually, this is extremely disorienting. However, I've seen the same effect in some modern music videos, so this might merely mean I'm getting old and don't have a clue.
The only other thing that really stood out is that the overall animation is somewhat dark, and consists of deep reds and browns (carved wood, mostly) that don't show up well with the lighting used. I think the intent was to make it appear that it was filmed near sunrise or sunset, which is a nice effect, but in my opionion making the scene a little brighter would help. Perhaps you could add some torches around the scene? This would help light the dark areas, and the shadows created would add contrast and visual interest to the scene.
Overall, it's a very good starting point, and at six and a half minutes, it's a full six minutes and twenty seconds longer than the most ambitious animation I've attempted yet. Good luck on your project.

Besides, how do we have too many aliens? Not counting this one or freebies, I only know about two other "Grey" aliens, and less than five other critters that are described as aliens, rather than as general monsters/demons/mutant mosquitoes. Last time I checked there were easily a dozen different basic Poser babes, not counting the figures that are popular variations on someone else's mesh. (Ie, I'm not counting figures like Voluptuous Vicky.) It's even more than that when you add in the toons and the "monster babe" figures like Naga. Anyway, this is definitely a figure I'd be interested in getting.

I like him. He's cute, in a menacing, "Take me to your leader or I'll vaporize your face" kind of way. :)
Thread: The coolest thing I ever made, Flight Vehicle Construction Set!! Sci-fi | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Very nice. Definitely has a "Terran Expeditionary Force" flavor in the construction. Any chance of seeing a Mecha add-on pack, i.e, posable leg, torso and arm sets that you can attach these things too? Baring that, any chance of a companion "alien" set with the rounded, claw-like, or spiky shapes favored by the Klingon/Kilrathi/Predator types out there? :) Or a "Build your own Bug Ship" set, for those races that breed their ships rather than building them? :)
