Okay, I have another question about Dawn. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that she'd be Mimic compatable. I was wondering if A) She'll also work in Poser 10s Talk Designer and B) Will there be viseme files included? Thanks.

Quote - Here's the answer for your questions around polygon count:
Total Vertices:39096
Total Triangles:1702
Total Quads:37624
Total Faces:39326Dawn has the following material surfaces:
Cornea
Eyes
Iris
Lacrimal
Pupil
Gums
InnerMouth
Teeth
Tongue
Face
Lips
Arms
Legs
Body
Eyelashes
Eyelashes_Large
Fingernails
ToenailsAnd has her UV's split across 8 templates files. Her face is on its own map, then arms and hands, then legs and feet, and torso, with additional templates for nails, lashes, inner mouth and teeth, and eyes.
Thanks very much. :o) Not too poly heavy, just right actually, and thanks for the additional information on the UVs and materials.

Quote - Hi all!,
I'm awake, wait did I even sleep?
Ah nevermind, lets talk Dawn...looking through the several new pages of posts, I see some technical questions I can answer. I'll let others at HiveWire 3D address the ones I can't, lol.
Morph capabilities: In Poser we use the binary morph injection native to Poser. (.pmd file) it is very stable and allows you to inject channels that do not already exist in a figure. So no need for empty channels. Nerd3d has a great tutorial that he did for Poser6 when the stability was improved. Go here to learn more!
http://nerd3d.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=13
In DAZ Studio, we take advantage of the .duf/.dsf files and the independent morph files created by version 4.5. So people who love the methods used in current DAZ Studio figures will be happy to see it available in Dawn.
Clothing Fits: Yes, PP2014 fitting room tools can be used to create fits for Dawn. (We do have a basic suit mesh as a Resource Kit that is part of the base, and we will have a Dev rig for those that have 9/10 or PP2012.)
Installers: HiveWire 3d will NOT be using installers for content. they will be .zip files
I know I didnt get every tech question answered but know we are, as some have said, "watching" and we will continue to try and answer questions and post teasers...
More to come! :D
Hi etujedi. I asked this question back on page 14 of the thread and hopefully you or somebody else on the team can answer it:
"I have a question about Dawn that hasn't been asked yet and personally this isn't something I really care about but for those who do, what's the poly count for the Poser version of the model and the Daz version? Do they both have the same poly count?"
Thanks.

Quote - I like Orlando. Has that whole Legolas feel going on LMAO.
Actually I was half kidding with the "Tony" name suggestion but I agree with Lady Raines suggestion that Orlando would actually be a pretty good name for Dawns male counterpart. It's an easy name to remember and it's somewhat distinctive.

Quote - Okay, now if there was a possible male, what would the name be?
Dawn was easy enough, as in start of a new Dawn.
All the best.
Great Uncle LROG
I was thinking Tony would be a good name.
Remember Tony Orlando and Dawn? ;o)

Quote - I have arranged a download link at bytiny.com
Hi Tiny, I went to your website earlier and found when using Internet Explorer that I'd get a Java notification in the corner of the screen then for some reason it would try to re-direct me to another website. Needless to say I closed the browser immediately and ran a scan but luckily nothing showed up, however when I used Google Chrome everything was fine and just to check I also tried Firefox and there weren't any problems. I did download the model and it works well. Thanks for your generosity.

Quote - I don't have a total list of fixes but there were some updates to rigging on some items and possibly the figures themselves. I'm honestly a bit out of the loop at the moment. Been having a spot of bad luck ever since comic con, so I've been dealing with that. I'm sure we'll put up a note on what was changed soon.
Probably.
Maybe.
Thanks for letting us know about the rigging and figure updates and sorry to hear about your bad luck. I hope things improve for you.

Quote - Is it usual for the scene when saved are not an avi but all bitmaps and have to be put through a video editor? Cheers
You can use Virtualdub to assemble the bitmaps into an avi although I've never tried it but the program I used for the YouTube video that was posted along with my original announcement of this app is a program called BMP2AVI. I found it very easy to use. You can download it here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/bmp2avi.html

Quote - I must be doing something wrong.I keep getting an error when I try to download.I have also tried to download on another computer with the same result. Cheers
No you're not doing anything wrong. I just tried it myself in IE, Chrome and Safari and it looks like the site's not up anymore. I just checked and you can still get the file if you use the cached webpage here: http://74.6.238.252/search/srpcache?ei=UTF-8&p=3d+bud+sea+free&rd=r1&fr=altavista&u=http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=3d+bud+sea+free&d=4961688312416692&mkt=en-CA&setlang=en-CA&w=ff5bb5d,fec0dddb&icp=1&.intl=ca&sig=cRXWTGwo6eBC0rrlMRNnfg--

Where it wanted to live itself.
And it did.
And it all works.....perfect.

Quote - Hey Kenmac,
This is just what I have wanted for a long time, and thanks also.
BUT.....and there always seems to be a..But Lol
I can get this installed do all the adjustments etc etc....till i press Esc..but it dont save to the MiniOceon folder that contains the exe file ??
Now looking back and reading your first..Heads Up...in 2009 you mention a serial number.
Where is it ?
As I just cant see one.
I have sent an email to the download site but no reply.
Any tips or advice most welcome.
*Regards.Jon
I've just re-downloaded it and it looks like he's changed it so that you don't need a serial number anymore. I guess he heard from some people at the time that probably weren't too keen on that. BTW I looked in the old version that required a serial number and it says in the readme: "All the recorded pics are in c:MiniOcean folder." Good luck and have fun with it.
