Attached Link: Tutorial - Daz Studio morphs using Sculptris
I made this simple tutorial that uses Morph Loader. But I'm only just learning myself. I don't know yet how to do multiple body morphs or full body morphs. So I don't know much more than this. Anyhoot I hope it helps. NOTE: You have to Log In at Daz forum to see the images. In Daz Studio use the File->Export function to save a figure as a .CR2 file so that Poser can load the figure.

I live in a small unit. My workstation sits in the corner of my bedroom on a plastic picnick table. I've broken two chairs and decided to spend a bit more $$ on my third chair, something really comfy and definetly more sturdier.
As a 3D hobbyist, most of my artwork is done at night, sometimes late into the early morning. Can't get much sleep when my PC is crunching the numbers to render because of it's 6 fans blasting away to cool the chips.
Personally I prefer my chips fried hot with sweet chilly sauce and sour cream dipping (droooool!)...hence breaking of two chairs. LOL.

Regardless of what program you prefer, getting a good quality render is a lot about setting up lighting. Setting up lighting could take as long as setting up the scene.
After a movie has finished check out the credits. Boring? Hell Yes! But there are a LOT of people's names listed in the lighting department, and sometimes many different types of lighting are mentioned.
A couple more tutorials on Daz Studio lighting in following links.

If you plan to do a lot of postwork (in photoshop, gimp, whatever) on the rendered image then consider that lighting may not be so important.
Tip: When setting up the main scene lights. Do test renders with shadows turned off. Shadows take a long time to render.

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity
I have a bad experience with similar system that has been around before Daz, that is Vue has to synchronise to Cornucopia3d store every time I start Vue. It takes a frustrating long time to synchronous and it refuses to remember my password. Vue is a great program F**KED up by it's store synchronising system. It just pisses me off to think about it, that I have to go through the same B.S. everytime I have to use Vue. It's a frustrating and depressing experience that takes my love out of Vue. I really hope Daz is not going down that track too.

I like DS4, after the Darkside interface was avaiable. Hated that garrish Hollywood interface and pissed it off straight away. Kids like it, I don't.
I don't use the CMS feature but can see it's potetial for finding things quickly. Hopefully Daz is honest about the CMS not spying on us.

Congradulations! Great way to start a new year. Now don't get a big head otherwise you will have to ride out and buy a bigger hat. Just kidding. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Thread: but what's the challenge in that? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I think it's possible to make an outstanding image using DS basic tools (I assume that means the basic lights too). It will be quite a challenge as it means hours of experimentation / trail renders with different material surface settings, light combinations, settings and positioning.
Sometimes one does too quickly complain about the limitations of a program without taking the time to fully understand how to use all it's functions and their settings. As the old saying goes "a poor tradesman blames his tools".
I thought Sculptris was too simple a modeler but then when I saw what others had done I realised it was me not taking the time to experiment. Also having a good imagination helps considerably.

Thread: Amazing Short Film With DAZ V4&M4 | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - DAZ_Rand posted in the DAZ Commons forum a quote from the e-mail response they received from Jesús Orellana about the making of the short and he states that DAZ Studio was the main tool used to animate and render. He felt the most comfortable with it from using it in his illustration work for years.
Yer makes sense. I couldn't believe anyone could learn Blender within 1 year. LOL.
Thread: Poser or DAZ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
DAZ provides a free version of Daz Studio 4. Get it, try it, have fun.
Most Poser content can be used in DS4 (with some adjustments). Poser Dynamic Clothes, Dynamic Hair and Material Shaders cannot be used in DS4 at all.
Another benifit of DS4 is that it has an inbuilt bridge to Bryce (DAZ 3D landscape / environment program). This allows you to send a scene from within DS4 direct to Bryce.
DAZ provides a free version of Bryce that you can play with also. Warning - Bryce has an unusual interface and strange way of doing things that takes some time to get use to.
Also you may want to get The Gimp (a free 2D paint program that is equivalent to Photoshop) for doing post work, touching up renders, adding some sparkles, etc.
BTW don't bother looking for that magic "make art" button in any of these products.
Have fun and don't be afraid to experiment.....Hmmm I wonder what this little red button does? Woops! Computer melt down. LOL.
