Alek... I know exactly what your problem is... I had that same problem when I first started using Vue and found out that the problem wasn't with the program but the fact that my computer was over-clocked. That was done by the people the built my computer without my knowledge. Explained alot of unexpected lockups for no reason as well. If you still have your computer motherboard manual... check it and find out what the jumper settings are for the clock mHz speed. And set it down one notch. You'll find that the problem you're having goes away! Let me know if that helps! -=> Jim! <=-
Thread: Loading an Alpha Channel Mask? | Forum: Vue
Well... say you render a picture... you then save the alpha channel map and modify it, how do you reload the modified alpha channel so that it will be used instead of being re-rendered? -=> Jim! <=-
Thread: First Web Tutorial Complete - Feedback Welcmoe | Forum: Vue
Great tutorial Ozan... how about making thumbnails in place of the text links and when you click on them they expand? Would make it easier to follow. But I liked the idea! -=> Jim! <=-

You've got copies... look in the side panel and make sure that there is only one object listed. That could be the result of pressing CTRL-C/CTRL-V combos. -=> Jim! <=-

Just making sure and wondering why there are two images in the Challenge with figures in them then if that's true.

Just for clarification... should all objects in the pic be made in Vue and not imported from something like Poser?

Actually... that was a glitch in the space time continuim... it occurs when the government tests their time travel machine they are building in a top secret bunker somewhere in Nevada. Actually... everytime you have that DeJa Vu feeling... it's them powering up the system. This makes a good evidence of their tampering with the delicate balance of the universe! :)
Thread: Preview Problem in Vue 4.06 | Forum: Vue
Yep... that solved the problem... switching from 16-bit to 32k True Color is what solved the problem... Might want to add that to the Vue Troubleshooting database

I had the computer completely surge protected... the problem was the phone line wasn't... it came up thru the telephone line, blew out my modem, motherboard, and power supply in one fatal swoop. Now I gotta find a phone line surge protector! :) The good thing to come out of it was that the new system is 10x faster then the old system. A rendering that would have taken 2 days before (eg: Shiny Red Button) only took about 45 minutes now! Wanna talk about FAST! 1.3gig processor sure makes a difference!
Thread: What do you think? | Forum: Vue
I like it... good texture there. Think you might be able to add a very slight and subtle cracking to the surface? That might give it a more realistic feel to it, but I like it as it is
