Here are the steps to follow: 1. Close P4/P5 2. Backup the file TDPK.VXD in folder WindowsSystem (rename or make a copy) 3. Run the P5 SR1 patch(es) you downloaded, NOT the driver update. 4. Reboot 5. Start P5 and see if it crashes. 6. IF P5 crashed: reboot and then: either restore the backuped file or run the Poser Driver Update. Reboot and P4 as well as P5-SR1 should work fine now. Don`t worry too much about my emotional state of mind, dialyn, I had a great time making up with my girlfriend afterwards. Thanks for your thoughts though! I have to be cautious anyway, with P4 too, I only have 128Mb of memory (in my PC, that is) so any graphically demanding software package plays tricks on me. But I am optimistic, after every reboot there is a fresh start... ;-) MaxxArcher

Poser Pro facilities is embedded in P5. P5 adds a lot more, spend you money on P5. I haven't found any incompatibilities on P4 figures so far... MaxxArcher

DO NOT forget to make a backup copy of TPKX.VXD in your WindowsSystem directory prior to installing the P5-SR1 update.
The update overwrites this file and COULD cause both your P4 and P5 fail to startup and yam your PC. Should this be the case: simply restore the backuped TPKX.VXD, reboot your PC and both P4 and P5-SR1 should work fine.

Great uniform, though I think you've got to get your story straight:

The SS (Schutz Staffel = Security Forces) were established somewhere in the 1930ties by Heinrich Himmler (later well known as the inventor of the gaschambers) as THE elite security forces of Hitler. Young boys from the Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), a very millitaristic kind of boys and girls scouts organisation (alleged holliday camps), were recruted to join the SS. A few citeria: Blond, fanatic, blindly following orders and the capacity to lead. Only the best made it into the SS. The SS uniform was (and always has been) black with the skull on their cap and the SS sign (in rune) on the shoulder pad. In those days (1935-36) anti-semitism was already very widespread, 1000nds of jewish families were already sent to recovery camps where they would be taken good care of. Camps led by, you guessed it, Hitlers SS. Plans for the final solution to the jewish problem (Endlung der Judenfrage) were already under development (if not finished).
So, there has never been any pre WW2 unawareness within the SS of what was about to take place, they knew war was underway, in fact, less than 2 years later, in 1938, the War began for Europe with Hitlers troops barging into Poland...

Personally I am not offended in any way by any uniform, but living in the Netherlands, I do know (and understand) that addressing the SS and the likes is just (still) as painfull for a lot of Europeans as talking favourably about Bin Laden today is for Americans. And mind you, within my parents and grantparents generation, there is NO single family in Europe that doesnt suffer from some kind of WW2 horror, this goes for Germans as well.

Finally I think that you got the SS mixed up with the Wehrmacht (German army) or the SA (Schutz Abteilung = Security Division) of the German Army in those days. They indeed wore olive colors, but without the runes and the skull.
BTW, the runes, as well as the ancient mystical swastika sign (now still bitterly hated by most people in EU) were directly stolen from the mideval druids, solely for propaganda purposes. The Nazis needed symbols and signs to unite people, but also to distinguish them from other people, they even created false excavation sites to provide proof of the German heritage.

Theres a lot more to tell, but that would be way off topic, so Ill leave it at this. I hope to have given you a bit of insight, not intending to offend or rant anyone.

As I recall, glow effect could be obtained in P4 already by setting the materials MINinmum transparency HIGHER than the MAXimum transparency. Maxx

Geep, I am not trying to be smart, but shouldnt an inch be divided into 6 or 12 subdivisions instead of the 10 you are using in your scale? (Im Dutch using the metric system, obviously I could be wrong...) MaxxArcher

I have the Asia, Noa, YYY-complete and Gaia. As for realism, either texture will do, they are all fabulous, but only the B-gen textures (Gaia etc..) have a more natural tinted skin, the others (here at Rosity) are quite greenish. If you dont mind messing a bit with the colors of the textures, I`d opt for the YYY-complete package as it is extensive and for both Vicki and the Milgirls.

Currently I use Gaia and AmyMarie for Stephi, Christina and Bliss for Vicki as base textures....

For easy WIP rendering I downsized the head textures to 1024x1024, the body textures to 1500x1500.

I pre-ordered my P5 today and the order confirmation said to expect delivery on Saturday the 7th. In live in the Netherlands. Dang, dang, dang, Im visting relatives on Saturday.

I totally forgot: Smooth lines at the seams of the various bodyparts/materials, makes creating/spawning custom props much, much more ease....

• Absolutely more polys in those ears, would be nice to see them smooth. A - ALL head morphs that change 2 sides of the face only, split into 2 morphs so the sides can be changed independendly. - More polys in both finger and toenails and at least morphs to change each nail indepedendly (width AND length). - More detailed hands and feet, muscle morphs. Independendly moving toes. Morphs to change the shape (petite or worker hands, muscular or flat feet, etc). - Full body morphs (or MATs) for different limits: normal, old, souple person, etc. - A high poly head for better closeups. - More polys in the bending parts of a body: elbows, knees, wrists, etc. - Detailed and more morphs for the belly button and the skin around it: knot, hole, dented skin (slender people), bulging skin, etc. - Facts of life morphs like pregnancy lines, wrinkled hands. - Positional morphs like denting buttocks when a person sits, bulging, denting, stretching muscles in the most obvious and visible places. Get that ERC working! I can think of more, but this will do for now ;-) MaxxArcher

Why dont you try using the grouping tool, create a new material and mess around with it. Havent tried it myself, but it should work... MaxxArcher :-)
