Glad for you :) And I know the feeling.... Recieved my copy of Vue 5 and was so thrilled about all the new features, but my puter cannot handle the new stuff :( So, it's my turn to wait until I can buy myself a new puter to be able to play with radiosity and the more advanced features.... Enjoy your new puter and have fun :) Elaine
Thread: Sort of a problem with importing Shade V7 models.... | Forum: Vue
GWeb, Usually it's because we find it useful and have fun with that proggie ! It's a great modeler and a very good complement for Vue. What I don't understand is why people make comments like yours ! Elaine

I found this site, but unfortunaltely can't read it because I don't know the language.... but.... You click on HDRI MAPY in the bottom menu and starting on page 4 you can download 17 samples of hdr files. They work fine in Carrara, so they should work in Vue 5 :)

Thread: Does Vue import native Shade objects??? | Forum: Vue
ROFL ! You know what ? I went all the way to E-On's website to check the features of Vue, trying to locate the import formats compatibilities instead of just opening Vue and click on the import button !!! So, that makes 2 of us...... LOL Elaine

Hi dlk30341 :) Yes it does, and quite well I might add :) This was one of the reason that made me buy Shade as a modeler, I can use the models I make right away in Vue :) Elaine
Thread: Custom textured leaf ? | Forum: Carrara

Thread: Custom textured leaf ? | Forum: Carrara
Thanks a lot for all your inputs :o) Pretty nice leaves Patrick... but I guess I will have to stick with transparency mapping or a square leaf because I have no experience with modelling yet. I am using Poser, Bryce and Vue for now and that is why I am trying Carrara. I would love to learn to model. I love the feel of this app and I sure hope that Eovia will indeed release a plugin for Poser. It would make Carrara a tool of choice for me :o) BTW, is the manual that comes with Carrara detailed enough for me to learn how to model ? Elaine
