A very big "thank you" Lost Patrol. I don't think it's a problem with the font or Photoshop. I tried the same transfer with Arial as font .. the same error. For that reason, i've contacted the Macromedia-Hotline. No reply for now but in the meantime, i've started to redo that whole thing in Freehand. Should have done it that way from the beginning but it seems, i had to learn it the hard way. Once again Thank You! Great to have helpful people around. Please, if ever a may be of any help for you, don't hesitate to ask me! Tom

@LostPatrol: thanks a lot. I'll browse through the links! :). The content of your main link is almost correct. But it's the other direction i'm going. I'm coming from Fireworks and try to import in Photoshop. @3DGuy: PNG is the native format of Fireworks. In this format, all the layers and text is editable and movable in individual layers. I need it that way in a PSD too as the printing-studio needs access to the text as text. For this reason, i cannot use TIF or JPG which otherwise would be an option, yep. Thanks a lot to the both of you!! :-)

Hope the party isn't over yet? :-) Once again: congrats to all the other nominees. Being second to Moni is not a bad thing!!! Congratulations Moni!!!! You're right, there are a lot of fine photographers over here, but as jimbO already stated, there can only be one winer. And to me, you deserve this honour: for consistantly posting fine images and for being a warmhearted, nice and friendly, an encouraging person. To me, AoM is more than "just" having some great stuff in the gallery - to me, an AoM has to be more than that. So you're the perfect person for that. And now: off to your interview!!! I'll take care of the weisswein while you're away gulp :-)) hugehugz Tom

Fine images from the both of you!!
@TMG: if there's to much grain for ya, try neat-image. Works very fine on those long exposure shots without loosing to much sharpness.

Any chance to open them in a new window (target="_blank")? Would be easier the rmb -> open into new window .. just as an idea. Thanks for all your work Misha!!

Try to keep ISO down as longer shutter-times tend to give you more grain - especially at night. If you're not to far away, leave the 80-200 at home, you won't need it. In all other aspects, you already said what's important. Tripod, cable-control and shutter-times depending on the intensity of the fire-works. 1-5 seconds is fine, perhaps start with 1-2 seconds and close the aperture as needed. Don't worry to much .. it's a lot easier as one would think ;-) Have fun! Tom
