I bought MCFS and textures Thursday. And yep, I love em too! The suit downloaded fine, but I had to get a new URL sent to me for the textures. Maybe the store is just broken for me huh? Anyway, the specific item I can't download is Doug Sturk's new ogre textures. Hopefully some kind soul from Daz will see my post here and get me a link before next week.

The tree I use is Anton Kisiel's Bonsai tree. It's available at Daz3d. Not cheap, but very much worth it IMO. It poses easily and Dmentia has some very nice maps for it at the Daz store too. Highly recommended. That's pretty much the only tree I use in Poser. It's very versatile. I use it for foreground shrubs and flowers too.

Yeah no shadows. Actually, I think the ground shadow did fall a little outside the render. Movement on the Y axis is critical to getting the shadow just right. What I did here was put together a scene in just a couple if minutes to demonstrate the ease of the kit. I used default everything... from the lights to Faelyn's pose. Even the trees all have the same pose. I just rotated them a round a bit. :) Pro Pack does have a bug which hinders use of shadows according to the manual. He strongly suggests using Poser for the kit. Good luck!

How much ram do you have, etep? 3D World needs lots of ram. I have 384meg and can add lots of stuff to the world. On my office PC, I only have 128 and I suffer the same lockup problem. If you have 128 or less, I suggest reducing the size of the ground maps. That should help. Also, make sure nothing is running in the background. SAVE your scene before trying to render! Often you can restart Poser and render the freshly loaded scene just fine. ronstuff... only the key light has shadows on by default. You can move it around till you get the effect you want. Or turn shadows on for the front light. You can save new light settings once you get it right. I've found myself swapping the positions of the front a key light to get my desired ground shadows.

Thread: Vue 4 Poser Importer | Forum: Vue
I appreciate the "heads up" on the Poser import problem. I have a collection of PZ3's waiting on Vue4 and that was the main reason I've been so anxious for it's release. If you read my post earlier, I had problems with my Vue4 preorder form E-On. I was intending on reordering a copy from DVDirect this weekend, but perhaps I should wait till the poser import probelms are ironed out. I'll agree that broken poser import is not good for E-On's rep. I'm sure I'm not the only Poser user attracted by that new feature alone and I would be quite disheartened had I bought my copy and discovered it not working. On the other hand, I'll be first in line for a copy when it's fixed. :)

I gotta say thanks to Lynn. She's been in touch and helped me work through this. I'll have my copy soon. :)

Yeah, I haven't seen it on Daz yet. It IS available at DVDirect and if your have concerns about possible credit card probs, that's a a good alternative... unless you're upgrading.
