IMHO I would wait until Carrara 2 is offered to the public. You have some great packages to learn with. Bryce has a great render engine and you can easily pull you rposer objects into it to render. But I would difinately hold off any purchase right now. Carrara 2 may surprise us all,a nd then again it could be a flop. Animation Master has some nice qualities. I would stick with it until we all know better about C2.

I should apologize to the maker of the orignal post. Thank you for keeping us informed, your time is as precious to you as mine is to me. But I'm tired of hearing about this Amapi deal and that Amapi deal. And yes I will agree that they some day they MIGHT merge into one product. I also agree with Harbinger_3D about the price offered, it sucks. But I will state again this is a newsgroup not an advertising medium for Eovia. Eovia, buy some space in a 3D Magazine if ya want to advertise!!

Twillis The surface fedility controls are located in the Assembly room. Goto "Scene" in your Properties Tray scroll down you will see it. I 've bee told that it should be checked prior to inserting any objects in your scene (Not sure if that's true)But have noticed a difference when rendering scenes. As for the image it can be seen at Tucks_Place.homestead.com/Files/Images/IOTM1.jpg

The sky was the hardest I know you seem to the sun orb above the really bright point, I fought with the controls in the sky controls until I was crazy. I just really liked the silhouetted look it just seem to speak the mood. Iknow the shadow of the dog does seem a bit crisp. I'm going to blur it up some maybe... As anti-aliasing, sirface fedelity set to high, Adaptive to best, Rays Launhed to max. Render at 640/480@96dpi. Render in 17 minutes. Thanks for all the nice comments and great ideas!

Well...I Like to listen to what I call "Old Rock" Fleetwood Mac, Little River Band, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce. They people or bands that I consider knew what music is. Just my 2 cents worth.

Well yes the image is a composite of a regular render and ZBuffer combined in photoshop to get desired affect. But the when rendering in ZBuffer the image will have the background color of your Assembly room ort what ever color you have set in your preferences for some reason. Even if you goto the scene settings and pick a color for the backdrop or background it will still use the color from your interface. You can control the color of the mesh by simply changing the color in the texture room for hte model. Hope this helps if not I'll post some more stuff.

Ok Now I've seen it all. 1) Dillinger any asshole like you can use foul language, not impressive. 2) There are young adults here that dont need to hear about you and your fathers sexual acts 3) IF YOU DON'T LIKE RENDEROSITY OR IT'S CURRENT ADMIN. THEN DONT COME BACK!!! START YOUR OWN SITE, SHOOT YOURSELF, PLAY WITH YOURSELF, CRY. But if ya dont like it leave. Nobody made you come here. Now there's the answer. Easy wasn't it.
