I think it would be worth paying for the mesh to be modeled/UVs which then gives you the option to easily change the material and press render. And in this case it is just a press of a button to render.
The first part may cost money but the second part is easy.

I must admit to being in agreement with the comments above about the maze being over the top but now having seen the render and the fact that earings rotate in the lobes I think you were right. Another class job Sir.

It's never going to give you all quads, I don't foresee a script that can, but it does look like an improvement. I know I've said this before but, for me, the best bit about booleans (particularly subtract and intersect) is it can inspire shapes that wouldn't perhaps occur with conventional modeling techniques. I'm suprised it hasn't had more of a resurgence now that retop is available.
