Hi everybody ; I 've lost the trace of this thread but finally found it !
So here is the script I'm using :

import poser
scene = poser.Scene()

actorList1 = ["hip", "chest","abdomen","lcollar","rcollar"]
morphList1 = ["Muscles_01","Muscles_02"]

figureToChange   = scene.CurrentFigure()

for actrName in actorList1:
 actr = figureToChange.Actor(actrName)
 if (actr) :
  for morphName in morphList1:
   curParm = actr.Parameter(morphName)
   if (curParm == None) :
    actr.SpawnTarget(morphName)

For this script I have this message :

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:Program FilesImages de synthèsePoser ProRuntimePythonposerscriptsscriptsMenuAddChannels2.py", line 10, in ?
    actr = figureToChange.Actor(actrName)
poser.error: Figure has no actor by that name

(the script works as it adds the two channels)
(the figure has only hip, abdomen and chest bodyparts)

if I add this block at the end of the script:

try :
  actr=figureToChange.ActorByInternalName(actrName)
except :
        continue

I have this message ( and there are no channels added ):
  File "C:Program FilesImages de synthèsePoser ProRuntimePythonposerscriptsscriptsMenuAddChannels2.py", line 20
    continue
SyntaxError: 'continue' not properly in loop

I've tried adding this block at the end of the script:

try :
  actr=figureToChange.ActorByInternalName(actrName)
except :
        pass

but I have the same result as the original script (poser.error: Figure has no actor by that name ; but new channels were added )

I've tried this "try ...except"  with ActorByInternalName or simply Actor , same result .
I'm sure there must be a way , I have programming notions , unfortunately not in Python language ;)

The one you need is called "Delete" ;)

I strongly recommend you "Conform" to conform several clothing pieces to a specified figure !

These Python scripts are just excellent , a really "must have" - and they are free !

If you need some help on how to use Python scripts , just ask ;)

I see the problem :
In step 1 ( parsing options )  uncheck all the boxes EXCEPT  "include morphs" and "non zero morphs only" then parse the file .

I'm so very sorry to hear that :( poor little thing .At least you didn't have to make the decision to ask the vet to put her asleep and you were with her until the end .
Now she's in Cat's Paradise , just aside  my beloved Mimi .

Hope you'll make soon happy a homeless cat .He will never replace your Tiger , no cat can do this , but you'll start a brand new story and it will help you a lot .

It's a known problem of V4 ;it mainly occurs after you've used "point at.." feature for her eyes . Just select her jaw then go to menu toolbar edit - restore - element , it should be fine .

Several  questions in my mind :

Have you used only simple primitives to make these vob file (as cube , sphere  etc )?
Have you used a plant - the plants may be locked to your licence ?
Have you used objects bought from Cornucopia ?
Have you checked "include texture maps ?" when saving as a vob ?

My Chat Moche had a tumor too - under the skin - and he had surgery for that . I've heard that shark liver oil -  also called "squalene"   can help fighting against tumors( but do not confound with cartilage which is useless in our case ) .I gave it to my cat after the surgery and he is fine now - 1 1/2 year after the sugery .I don't know the efficiency due to the squalene but it worth trying , it's not very expensive -I've paid around 0.5 euro/cap- and quite easy to find   .I gave him 1 cap 500mg/ day - you pierce the cap and put the oil on his fur ,if he has the strength to lick it  .

maybe it's a question of bones hierarchy - try to rig them by keeping more bones - thighs and hip .

Which character exactly have you purchased ? You may need Morphs++ for V4 to be installed .The Inj file may dial some of these morphs++ , so if you don't have this package of extra morphs , the inj file will dial ...nothing at all .
There are several characters for V4 that are "custom" morphed , that means that you don't need these morphs++ .

Materials files will work anyway - you may put a material on any ( morphed or not ) V4.

I don't know exactly why , but you can try to pose them manually in the right position then save them as a new cr2 ; load this cr2 and see if they conform properly after that.

Cats are very strange animals - they can recover so quickly from lots of injuries -I was so astonished how quickly their skin recovers after surgery ! On the other half ,  they are very fragile for many "common" diseases  .They need our support as they trust us and they can understand we do our best to help them .
My ChatMoche had diarrhea several months ( maybe more as they go outside for this ...) but I wasn't worried as he was fine looking and active  .Now this has become "almost " normal -even feeded all the time with high quality dry food exclusively , I don't know why things have changed   . I don't think the dry food is the cause , dry or humid or home-made never changed a thing for ChatMoche . I guess that is easier to find high quality dry food than hi-quality humid food -you can always add some water on the dry food if your cat accepts the texture .
Maybe you should try food supplied with more essential fat -I saw something for persians , they add special fats for the fur , or even food for very aged cats .Very often , even for humans, is a lack of essential fats . You can also give him some fish oil ( one cap  once or twice a week , as it's very rich in vitamins ) - by piercing the cap with a needle and putting the oil on the fur .But you can try this later , when he'll feel better .
Don't forget to brush him a lot - cats can feel when they are " dirty" and they may feel very miserable when they are not able to clean themselves .
